Anyone have a method to replace the “boot” seal on the piston?  I can’t get it to slip into the grooved slot for the inside hole.  I tried heating it some and wetting it with brake fluid.  It has to be stretched to fit, but I can’t get it started.  Is there a special tool or something.  Magic?  Voodoo?    WTH!      They only seek the entire cylinder for $190!

Been a wile since I replaced one. I soaked it in hot water (not boiling) to soften and it helped. Was 4or5 years ago so may be different ?

Someone mentioned hot water, haven't tried, just warmed with a heat gun slightly.   I have an older 2020 version of this piston and its a different design.  The area where the ID of the seal slips in is actually fully raised above the other area.  There's no "recessed grove" (where the screwdriver is sticking) if that makes sense. This designed is recessed below the bigger diameter.   Guess I'll be ordering $200 slave cylinder... Sad

By plunger, are you talking about the slave piston?  The first pic is the piston with only the o ring installed.  The seal, or boot, or bellow, or whatever its called is to the left.  small inner diameter fits in the groove where the screwdriver tip is.    Is that what you were asking for?

I agree with the hot water method, bring it to a boil, let it sit for a minute, then soak the seal until it's soft and playable.

Should go right on, just have to be quick about it
