Just got done with it finally. It's probably the best interview I heard from Webb. I really didn't like him back then we he was beating my favorite riders but hearing from him more and more I really start to like the guy.
Let's try and not turn this into a Jase bash thread please.
I agree, after the JMart rivallry, Webb was not my favourite.
However he's proven to be one of the greats, and nowdays likeable.
I've listened to a few clips on youtube and its pretty good. I'm with you that I didn't like him either earlier in his career but he's been winning me over more and more since he dropped down to a 250 for the Des Nations. I still don't root for him at the races but dammit I respect him.
I just finished it last night and in my opinion it's one of the best Gypsy podcast yet. Interesting listen the whole way through with some great stories and Webb just tells it like it is. He's very open/transparent compared to some riders and is so down to earth. This podcast made me an even bigger fan of his.
Yeah...I really didn't like Coop until the last couple of years because he was generally arrogant and hard to take, but he's gained some humility and gained me as a fan. I thought the funniest things in the interview were the story of him swapping frames on his KTM for a stocker and hitting the box on it, and the one of ET lapping him...twice.

The story about ET lapping him had me cracking up. Good stuff
The older these guys get, the better interviews they give. Just more perspective and humility makes for much more genuine answers.
This interview really showed the minutiae that Cooper reaches mentally when analyzing the track and his competition. It's no fluke that he makes the most out of his skills and wins the mental battle so frequently; he studies the sport the way a QB studies opposing defenses.
Can’t argue with his logic of wanting to go supercross only with world / aus sx. Travel the world with the family, get paid serious money and exten the career a few more years. We all love seeing guys grind it out through the outdoors but I can see the appeal to someone like Webb that’s clearly better indoors. Great listen, I enjoyed the one he did a few years ago too. He’s just who he is, take it or leave it,
