Hey dudes good morning.
I had my Ozark Ascent parked at a track for a couple weeks over Christmas break as we were there riding quite a bit. No power hook ups. Basically just bike and gear storage at the facility. My 4 year old was with us one of the days and flipped the switch for the water pump without me knowing.
Well, I go hook up my truck a few days later and at that point the water pump would have received power, but with no water in the tank. I drove about two hours unknowingly with the pump on and like I said, no water.
I’m assuming the pump burnt up as it does not make any sounds when I turn the switch on now. Do any of you know a way to diagnose if the pump is actually bad? Secondly, if it does need to be replaced, have you done it yourself? Recommendations on what pump to purchase?

I've done 2 of them. Have you checked to see if it's getting 12 volts ? Mine had wire nuts so it was easy to undo them and check to see. (Don't let the positive side ground out against the frame) I held the wires on the tester leads and had my wife hit the switch. If there's 12 volts it should turn on. There's only 2 wires. Have you put water back in and knocked on the pressure sensor to see if it comes on ? I'd start there, then verify if it's getting 12V. The pumps are easy enough to change, they're rubber mounted with 4 screws, 2 wires and water in and water out. But could be a pain depending on where they put the dumb thing, my toyhauler was easy, it was inside under the sink. My trailer one was a pain, it was underneath the trailer. I got the numbers and ordered the same make and model so it was a straight swap. The water connections were easy.
Possibly a fuse blown?
That is my 1st thought to check too.
You dont have any in house batteries that could be dead? In line fuse from the truck? If you have a battery charger or an 12V battery use that to see if the motor can be bump started.
Doubtful but Have you tried seeing if the system is possibly pressurized by opening a faucet?

They're so cheap anyway, not a big deal if you need to replace it

Man you guys are awesome! Loads of information in here. I’ll check it out later this week. But thank you so much for your responses.
It's just a "Thing", parts is parts 😄 TM's right they're not expensive. On my trailer if I banged on the pressure sensor the pump would come on, I thought about replacing just that part (if they're available) but when I saw the price of a whole new pump I said fuck it it's not worth the time and aggravation to try and repair it. It's the new throwaway age lol.
