Any news or reason why HRC Honda is now using SKDA graphics instead of TJ? Will TJ continue to make replica kits? Crazy to switch graphics company after all those years and dope looking kits.

Might be a money thing. Its been many years since I looked into what it would cost to get a factory team to run my graphics.  But at one point when RV was racing a 450, it would have been $30K per year that I paid the team and 2 kits per rider per round of MX /SX and any off season round the team did.

In return I would be the official graphic company of the team and be able to sell replica graphic kits.

That was about 15 or so years ago.  SO its likley much more $$ now.  At that time Kawasaki had RV and Weimer so it was a solid team.  Maybe Throttle Jockey just didn't see it being worth the money  that SKDA was willing to pay?  I've talked with TJ and they said that they  constantly saw other companies ripping off their designs and said the Factory Honda kits were one of the most stolen designs . I was talking with them about selling the Honda team kits , I had customers asking for the design and I didn't want top steal it. In the end , they wouldn't allow me to sell them since I was also a graphic company .  So perhaps they didn't see sales numbers big enough to justify the cost?

 Just speculation

Thanks for the response. I was thinking the same thing. Always comes down to $. Just really weird seeing as TJ and Honda are so iconic together.

Isn't SKDA an Australian company? Could be the Australian connection.
