So I borrowed a friend’s 2015 250 sxf for my son to race the local hair scrambles season. We put 25 hours on it and now I have to fix it up to give it back. I’m a Yamaha guy mind you. I go to buy a piston kit and it’s over $500. Is this normal or just since the ktm woes ? I can’t imagine how anyone can race these bikes regularly.
There are other options for pistons…have you priced a Vertex piston kit?or Wossner?
OEM is a CP piston I believe, if you're trying to save a buck then look at Wossner or Wiseco.
