Back in 2015 I wrote a story for Meta magazine chronicling Mike Healy and his story. I thought some of you who did not get a chance to read it at the time might enjoy it in video format. Unfortunately Mike passed away in 2024 but I think his story is one worth retelling.

Thanks for posting that. I'll watch it after dinner.

I've been watching your uploads for years.  I appreciate what you do, Tony.

Legend. Will definitely give this a watch. Was lucky enough to be coached by Mike when I was 12-14 years old and he was such a cool dude. Learned a ton on the bike that I still apply today.

Will never forget the stray cat on the '83 CR 80 and his cool white gear.

Tony, I'm surprised the article doesn't mention any of his GP years. I'm sure your long version covers it. I would have liked to read about that. That's where I think he became even more famous or infamous.

Yeah the original draft went into much more of his racing career but Jason at Meta asked me to cut all of that out to get the word count down. I am still happy with how it turned out but I agree the article does not really touch very much on his career particularly in the GPs.

I guess meta made you leave out the part about how on his best days he was the fmotp.  My wife watched this and was so mislead.
