I hope we see some sort of celebration in the broadcast on this next weekend. Legendary night!

I raced a Quad during intermission at that race, lol.
I was there.
Damn things sure turned Gary Denton's career around because he was a mid-pack Three-Wheeler racer!
Look how much slower they are, how much different the tracks were.
The modern 450 tracks are like SX Dragways.

Yup, Gary Denton, King of the Quads!
I raced 3 wheelers as well and beat the top riders when I won the last 3 wheeler race held at Saddleback on the Baja Course. I worked at Kawi R&D and I did every second of the development testing on every 3 wheeler model they made from 84 to 87 so I had a bazillion hours riding them so I basically moved up to the Pro class after just 3 races. Harry Klemm ported my cylinder and I ran one of his pipes. I raced the pre production 84 Tecate after we finished a 250 hour endurance test on it.
Cool.
They had a guy named Joe Bonello announcing some of that quad race and I found out the next day at Kawi that he mentioned my name several times even though I got a bad start so I was back in the pack. I hired him at Kawi to do some test riding and he told me he mentioned my name a lot because Gary Denton and I were the only quad riders he knew the name of, and he didn't just want to keep saying Gary Denton the entire race, lol.
