Do you want to see the return of GP Pit Bits?

VitalMX GP Pit Bits are really the ONLY way for us (U.S.A.) to get any MXGP photo's and information. It was a terrible choice @ML512 to eliminate them for "cost savings".

We went away from it in 2025 for a few reasons. I was paying a decent chunk of money for GP photos, but this was the only feature it supported. Primarily, it was a nightmare feature to put together. Some weeks, I would get a couple of photos of only one bike, and have to pretty much just toss in a ton of racing photos to even get to a 1/3 of the size of a US Pit Bits. I have very little control over the quality of the feature outside of the captions you would read. I'm also the only member of staff who can build the feature and my schedule by Tuesday, when I'd have all the photos, was tough. So most of the time it wasn't getting done until Thursday or Friday morning. Since then, I've also committed my time to going to every US race again, so I'm too busy traveling those days and working on expanded SX, MX, and SMX coverage to do it. The views across the season supported that, as after the first couple of rounds, there wasn't much new to post each week to get people coming back. Without a true hands-on approach to it, it just doesn't meet the quality we need to justify the expense and time.

If we can't do it right, we're not going to do it.

We need to find a way to do it right! That's where all the unique factory bits are being used.

Perhaps a sponsor. Ex: "Motul MXGP Pit Bits", and a photographer that can have a small logo on the images or a link to their website in the intro to purchase full resolution images from the races.

We had a sponsor for it, but it wasn't close to enough to offset the cost (good photography isn't cheap, which I totally understand since I personally travel to each race with over $35,000 in camera gear).

Sadly, no one buys individual photos unless they were personally in the race/event or something.

Also, that doesn't solve the problem that the photographers are there shooting for mostly clients that need on-track action, and either don't have the time to commit a few hours to wandering the pits and really inspecting the bikes, or know enough technically about the bikes to find the works bits.

Lastly, that doesn't even solve the time crunch I mentioned above.

We need to find a way to expand Brent Bits. He killed it at the races he went to last year.

Michael,

It’s time to Bite the Bullet!

You’re going to need to go to the GPs this year. 😎

Now, go out and hire someone to cover the U.S. rounds that overlap with GP weekends. That should be as easy as going into the next Board Meeting and asking for a Quarter Million Dollar Budget…you know…Wages, Travel, Lodging, Equipment…add’l editing and oversight. C’mon, it’s no big deal?!

So, yep…get pff your butt & get it done!

🤣
