Shit...somebody got hurt this weekend at my local practice day.

And Ryan won all his titles while hurt?

So what are you saying? Getting hurt means the other guy cheated? Or doesn't deserve it?

It's a fucking obstacle course at speed, make it through or lose.

Hi rez image. Doesn't look like any metal I've seen...unless of course it's coated with something but why would they bother?

Spent 2 weeks in the [Decoster\Moose \Dungey truck and Dungey is a perfect professional and top bloke, he also achieved beyond whats normally possible for the best of the best MX\SX\Des Nations but there were times when Josh Grant was faster on the MX track and times when RV was faster on the SX track, so for him to achieve it all again is close to impossible with all the best ready to race for there honour, but i feel with more wins shared by so many more riders next year that he could again come out on top.

how can anybody at this point not pick dungey as the fvorite!?
No more Roger, no more titles for dungey...

As big a factor as I think Roger is; I'd find it difficult not to put some money on Ryan doing the double again.

IMO...
Dungey is gonna need to get starts this season and be out front early if he wants to beat RV,Stewart & Reed.I don't see him playing catch up against those guys.
It will also come down to how well he handles the pressure ,both mentally & physically .
Should be a good one.

I think he can. He knows he can win, he was running with James in the first SX race last year and has gotten alot faster and more fit since then. He isnt the one with something to prove. Everyone else is in that position. Sure guys can beat Ryan in races, but they will have to beat him all season long without mistakes. Im not sure they can. I think he is mentally and physically tough enough to win both series next year. He beat Tony at the MXDN, he beat James with ease outdoors. Luck doesnt explain that away.

Yes, Dungey can do it again.
He has not reached his peak yet. He gets faster every year and is constantly improving.

RV, CR, JS might have been able to obliterate him a few years ago but RD is getting better where all those other guys are riding at 2008/2009 pace.

I think it's possible but not likely. I doubt Reed or JS will let him run away with it and expect some pretty aggressive racing once the season gets rolling.
2011 is going to be epic!

I think it will come down to his level of agression. There were times last year where him being too nice cost him. You cannot race against guys like RV,CR and JS not to mention Canard or Weimer for that matter and wait forever to pass guys. He will need to get to the front and fight for it from the get go. Do I think he is capable? Absolutely.

It's easy! There will actually be a lot more competition on the gate this year! No way Dungey is running with a Stewart and Reed with chips on their shoulders. THOSE 2 will be riding with a vengence this year. As good as Dungey is, James and Chad will be battling all by themselves again this year. Those 2 have ALWAYS been 2 gears faster than everyone else in SX. One year doesn't change all that. For 9 years we heard every year that this is the year someone will knock off MC, yet MC would come in and win 9 or 10 races and walk away with it. Dungey and Villo will have some spots on the podium, but Chad and James are going to govern the podium.

When Dungey was challenged last year, he got beat. RV got on his head. Now he has Stewart, Reed, Villo, Canard, AND Grant to deal with. Those other 3 guys there every week will definitely be a difference this year. Garauntee it!

I say he has as good a chance as anyone. I'm not a fan of his, however I do respect all the hard word he puts in. I would just like to see racing decide it this year and not injury. If its me to pick a winner for this year I say #2 or #7. With no injuries these to would be the top dogs. Just my opinion. Oh yea! For a sleeper #41!

I'm a huge RV fan but I think RD has the same speed as RV and Reed. James is the wild card. That guy can do things on a motorcycle I have never seen another person duplicate. If James is ready and can stay off the ground, nobody can catch him.
RD win the title just by being consistant and not riding over his head like the other 3 will.

I think Dungey will be the most consistent rider this year and land the most podiums of any rider. But as far as wins i dont know, if the current field stays healthy it will be a tough season indeed. I am a huge Dungey fan but im just being realistic he was flying last season and RV2 put a lot of heat on him until he got injured. And look at all the new talent we got in the game this season. Come on January already!!!!!!!

Your Kidding yourself when you say Reed, Reed has nothing on RV or Dungey anymore, and hes been getting shit on by bubbles since 2006!! Reed will be on the podium but i would not be suprised if he dosent even win a race. He won 3 in 09 with much less talent on the gate.

Prince 1, Windham,Brayton and Hanson have been fast in Aus SX this year but Reed rode newcastle way faster than any of these guys have looked, actually i have never seen Reed ride anywhere near as quick as he looked on that honda and i have watched every race since he hoped on an 85, he will find rythems that others will make mistakes on, dont doubt him.

No he will not. He has serious talent but there are at least 2 guys showing up with more. IF RV and JS crash out then yes. I don't know if he will beat a hungry Reed either.

There is something key in this statement... The big four; RD, RV, JS, and CR all beleive they can win the supercross championhip. We all would be fullish to count any of them out. Beleiving you are a contender is the first step to being a champion.

It has been stated over and over how deep this year's field is. But when, if ever have four guys really been thought to have a serious chance at the championship. Ask yourself this; if anyone of these four riders won the championship would you be surprised?

In the past promotors have built up contenders that have a shot. For example in 08, at A1 they had a skit showing RV. KW, CR, and JS standing in a circle sizing each other up. When I was watching it I tought "cool, but RV and KW are long shots, this championship is going to come down to JS and CR." Not this year, if you picked these guys and put them in any order and told me this is how the season would end, I'd beleive you.

side note.. It is also pretty cool that all of these guys are on different manufactures.

I agree. I think it's going to be a mixture of things. Ryan is a very calculated rider & I think he's getting increasingly better at finding the balance between when to be aggressive & when to be patient. I think we really saw him hit the formula near perfect outdoors this year. Supercross this past season, I think his weakness' stemmed more from lack of confidence & experience than anything else. After winning both titles & dominating the outdoors the way he did, I think he's gained a lot in both of those departments. So for RD personally, I think that if he can accurately assess the series or each race & find that balance of being more aggressive while remaining cool & collected, he will be difficult to beat. Like Kinetic1 said, is he capable? Absolutely.

The greater undetermined factor to me is the team. Idk how Mike Webb will do or how the absence or Roger & Ian will affect the performance of the team. We will find out. I think with Roger gone, Dungey will have to use every bit of what he's learned from him in the last few years.

I see the main players as being RD, RV & JS. All 3 have similar enough raw speed & with such a deep field this year & seemingly everyone stepping up their training programs, I think it will come down to who can minimize their mistakes while still riding with the aggression they need to get the job done. That's where I think RD will have an advantage.

So you don't beleive Chad Reed who has podiumed like 90% of his SX race's and has proven in the past to know how to win will have a good mix of raw speed and minimizing mistakes?

I do, I just feel more strongly about 1 of those other 3 guys winning the title. Chad's a great rider & you're right, he's very consistent & proven a winner/champ.

Reed better be riding better than ever, Brayton was only a tenth off of his times at round 1. Brayton is good but not a title contender. Besides Reed only wins when Bubbles goes down(how many times have you heard that) We will see Cant wait till A1, maybe im wrong but if Reed wins ill be in catatonic shock.
