Here in Montana we have 2 Division 1 colleges, MSU and U of M. Every year they play each other in the last game of the season, “Brawl of the Wild” is something everyone looks forward to regardless of which team you root for. Wondering what your local rivalry is, and who you root for in that game.

GO CATS!!🐱 FTG.

Yeah, but Texas VS A&M is probably the biggest intrastate rivalry.

What side of that rivalry are you on?

We have a pretty serious rivalry with the city next to us. The 2 high school teams have been playing in the annual TNT football game since 1905. 30 years ago the 2 schools would infiltrate the opposing city and throw eggs at basically anything they deemed egg worthy. Im not sure if "egging" is still a thing. Go Lumberjacks!!

Unless you went/go to A&M, that cult is universally hated. Every Texas father's biggest fear is that their son will grow up to be an A&M yell leader. If you don't know what a yell leader is, count yourself lucky.

To go egging these days you’d have to first hit up the boosters for funding.

People from both sides in the family.

I root for both teams unless they are playing, then it's UT.

Rooting for A&M next week.  Elko is awesome, and  Aggies have not had a “signature” win in ages. UT waltzed into the SEC and were immediately contenders. A loss to tu would deal yet another psychological blow to the College Station faithful.

Even if they do lose on Friday,   doesn't take away the first 11 wins.  Amazing year so far.

As for "psychological blow", not even close.   At the end of the day its only a game and the schools exist to teach people something thats useful and prepare them for the workplace.   And A&M's grads get good paying STEM jobs and are gainfully employed right off the bat.  Thats the real final score card.

Utah has the University of Utah and the BYU rivalry, the schools are like 40 miles apart, Utah represents the Salt Lake Metro Area, BYU represents the Provo Metro area.  And it goes way beyond sports...its liberal (Utah) vs Conservative (BYU)...its Religious (BYU) vs not religious (Utah), Democrat (Utah) vs Republican (BYU)...it's a full on culture rivalry.

Still is, this is the first year that Ivy League schools played in the playoffs. Montana State played Yale a couple weeks ago and they gave us all we could handle.

FTG Go Cats Go!
I attended Bozo when the cats still sucked. Now they’re the better team in the State. I heard Brock say yesterday during the broadcast that MSU only has 9 seniors on their team this year so next year should be more of the same!

After last year a lot of people thought we would take a couple years to reload, but Coach did a great job bringing in talent and making the young guys shine. It’s a GREAT time to be a Cats Fan!
