Only has a few days to go on this Kickstarter and it's not very close to reaching it's funding goal.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/motonineties/moto-nineties-the-making-of-a-feature-length-documentary

I'm about to jump in with a pledge and hope a lot of you will too.

After listening to the latest pulp show with MC, he said something along the lines of the kickstarter wasn’t necessarily to complete the documentary, but to find music rights and what not. So will still get made, but with less quality music

I can kind of see that side of it, but you have to assume that the financial backers (presumably Fro and MC) have already put up a lot of money to get this thing made and who knows if they'll make that money back. It seems like Pay Dirt and Sam Jones's yet to be released Ricky Carmichael documentary have both struggled to find a streaming platform willing to pay for their movies.

May need to dust this one off. Others? Ronron? Moto(s)news? AOL's rec.motorcycles.dirt? FreshDirt.com?

I haven't educated myself on kickstarter...

From what I read, if the goal isn't met they don't take anybody's money, the whole deal is off.

I knows it's backwards thinking, but when I saw how far away from their goal it was, it deterred me from even spending time making a donation as it seemed inevitable that it wasnt going to fund.

I would drop $750 in a heartbeat for that weekend at Big Bear they were offering. Even having to drive 30 hours!

You can still get on the moto nineties website and purchase it. Everything that was available on the kickstarter is available on the website.

I heard it costs around $10,000 per song these days even for cheapest artist.  I forget who was explaining it but they said if Crusty Demons was made today it would be millions in music fees , impossible to re create

Watching the trailer made me think about 2021 during the pandemic.
I re-watched the 95 Indycar season on youtube - one round per sunday.
Had a blast. Now I want to do the same with 90's MX
