Why Hate On Reed

4/16/2008 10:29pm
Reed uses his injuries to lull his competion in to a false sense of security and to build in his excuses.

Go dark with injuries.

Because they are no excuse. 16 rounds, earn points at all of 'em and count 'em up.

There will be no blowjob's coming from this internet protocol address for anyone who crashes and DNF's.

I wish safety and the best man wins to all motocrossers.

Soon ......the best man may be KDUB over the 16 rounds.

I think Reed was genuinely hurt. If he was making it up he wouldn't have come 12th. I hope he wins the championship because if poor KDUB wins then all the noobs on here will be hating on him saying he he won with a big " * ".

STFU and watch the racing.

If Reed wins SX there is most definetly a * beside his name.
He is a 3rd place rider and could never beat the top 2.

Bullshit. If Canard or JLaw wins their titles will there be an * by their names. Neither of these guys are the fastest. Townly's hurt, he could have beat both.

Reed's passed RC and won. RC's passed James and won. Wow what's that mean?

If James came to a complete stop, you nose would hit his anus... You’re blind to reasoning because of this. Step back and look at other classes, amateur and pros. Apply the same reasoning you're applying here. Doesn't add up does it?

The only ASSterisk being handed out ... is the one next to your name marking you as most "definetly" the biggest tool on the board.

Go back to RonRon please.

I don't think his shoulder blade is broken too badly if he has been at pole position racing go carts. I couldn't move at all without being in tremendous pain when I broke mine, let alone go set track records at the go cart track a few days later.

Chad Reed Sighting

We got this note from Pole Position Raceways' Ken Faught:

"With everyone wondering about the status of Chad Reed, I thought I would drop you a line and let you know that he's been at Pole Position Raceway in Murrieta, California several times this past week and looks really good. In fact, he set the fastest lap of all-time last night during his second of two races. As of this week, Reed is the quickest with Jason Lawrence third and Andrew Mcfarlane fourth. Robbie Maddison is 12th fastest, Hansen is 13th, Josh Hill is 16th and Michael Byrne is 17th quickest.

You can check out more at www.PolePositionRaceway.com. Also, don't forget that we have a new track in Las Vegas (across the street from the new Palms Towers) that will have all sorts of things going on during the week of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross and the MiniMoto SX.

Yet it's OK to play Golf with a bum knee?

A twist here, twist there...no worries mate.

Both hide the truth..only difference is Reed keeps showing up to race. James sits out.

It's there right to hide their injuries. When you get hurt Scott do you issue a press release letting everyone know that you're hurt?

This is freaking bizarre...why put out a press release saying you're heroically going to race through the pain of your life-threatening injuries, then be seen cutting a record lap at a go-kart track within a couple days?
If he is that sore and banged up, why isn't he resting instead of racing go-karts?

Exactly!
Less than a week ago he was seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and now he's re-habbing on a go cart track. Huh

I really don't get why people hate on Reed and what his team says about his current state. Why all the negative surrounding his injury. If this was the Stewart camp, we would have already heard 20 different excuses on why he was slow in practice, or got 3rd or whatever.

Too many times to count, Stewart has shown up only to do one lap or one autograph, then pull out for whatever reason. Then all you hear are the ball-lickers that say he needs to think of the big picture, many championships to come, long career ahead, why risk it now.

All this has happened while Stewart was in the same position as Reed, leading the points race and dominating the competition. Reed is choosing to sack up and ride through it at a time when other riders would be at home with a pacifier in their mouths. He has nothing to gain by faking or playing up an injury. Everyone saw him crash, it looked bad and he dusted himself off and made it to the next round. Does anyone really think he's doing it for the bonus check? He's doing it because he is a competitor and wants to win....BAD.
He isn't even my favorite rider, but he deserves all the respect in the world. If this was a different setting, he would be front page. Think about it, if he was the MVP QB for your team and was playing in the Super Bowl, you'd be running his jersey. If you were a special forces unit in the military, you'd want him on your squad. What if this was a UFC team brawl, would you have him or Stewart?

Phillip Rivers led the Chargers to the Division title game and could barely run or throw the ball, ESPN was all over it because he toughed it out. They got killed the next game, but hey, they went down swinging. If backed into a corner, who would you want having your back, the guy that carries a list of excuses in his back pocket, or the guy that says "FUCK IT, let's do this." Money can't buy that type of attitude. If that was the case, Stewart would have bought a truckload of it by now. This is no knock on Stewart, but it's a perfect display of both sides of the coin. Both riders about to clinch a title and coming up limping..............how would all you haters write the next chapter?

Your right they don't have any pain meds at the hospital he was at for FOUR HOURS!!!!

He's got some serious pain meds going down like corn pops or he's not that hurt no more. Whatever the case, he still took a digger and went out and rode. With no outdoors, I'm guessing he eating Lortabs 4 meals a day and having a good time.
