I worked with Rich back in the late nineties at White Brothers. He was a good guy. He would always say hello and was kind. We would go to lunch on occasion. Rich would race and test ride at Carlsbad every weekend back then. He was very competitive and always tried hard.

I had no idea at the time that he was a recovering alcoholic. Or that he had such a troubled past.

He will not be forgotten.
