Always thought Downhillers would be quicker than an Enduro bike through Technical sections, but surprised Knighter didn't kill Gee on flat pedally section towards end.
I've raced downhill at Fort William many times, tough course!

Im thinking GEE has been down that run a few times. Give Knight a few pratice runs and and wont be close.

Yeah Gee has won the downhill championship at Fort William a few times so he definitely knows the place although he probably wasn't as pinned as he would normally. Knight only had a couple of goes and probably would have gone faster by the end of the day but you can only put so many runs on a push bike.

On the last part of track Knight was catching up rapidly but had to slow down for the jumps or risk overshooting massively.

Anyone know what the price difference between the bikes was/is? I'm guessing they're pretty similar too.

Pretty trick parts they both have on their bikes but Gee's bike can be bought replica for around £5400. I ride Downhill and it's beyond me that our push bikes are almost as expensive as a 250F!! Someone's making some serious cash! A DH frame with shock retails on average at £2000 with the frame being 2/3 of the cost. That's a lot for aluminium tubes welded together and all made in factories in Taiwan obviously...

if he was on a 125 insted of his 450 i reckon it would have made it alot easyer in all that tight stuff and he would have been quicker
