Ouch. Crashing is bad enough without adding a $100 bill.

If it saves you from getting a hospital bill, is $100 all that much?

Of course not.  The cheapskate in me knows that most crashes, by far, do not involve a trip to the hospital, and this won't prevent all of those. But yes, I will likely own one.

This would not have prevented my broken skull, or a few different broken arms. I would not have prevented one broken collarbone but might have really helped with the other broken collarbone (helmet impact in addition to hard shoulder hit) and maybe one shoulder injury (no hospital). I'll use it to maybe help prevent a collarbone injury but more for neck and back type stuff.

I wonder if you can get a doctors prescription for the Tech-Air and your insurance company pick up some of the cost?

Crazy question, I know...but after the airbags deploy, do they have to be "repacked" or replaced?

They deflate fairly quickly and you can roll/fold them back into position.  The bags are designed for multiple deployments.  They recommend you have them inspected after six deployments (but the bag should still be functional even after six).

The deployment canisters are easy to replace. After 4 deployments, it’s recommended to send the unit in to have the bladder replaced.
