I think the difference may be Democrats making up charges to go after him, vs him going after them with real evidence.... And only after they used the DOJ to go after him.

From what I have seen Biden could have released more information, not all, but chose not to. Just like the Trump administration has released some more, but not all, and there are still active investigations going on currently.
The evidence that was recently found in the emails just released, from what I have seen, have only shown Democrats indicated. If there were Republicans I would sure hope he would investigate them as well. But as you can see, as I posted above, Epstein was working with Democrats to find a way to accuse Trump of wrongdoing. Going so far as texting them during a hearing.
As I said earlier in this thread, I am in the wait and see camp - and throw everyone involved in jail once the proof has come out.

Why are your torch and pitch forks only directed at one person? There are plenty of politicians, banks, journalists, famous, and rich business people that have worked closely with Epstein AFTER he was a convicted sex offender, with evidence to prove it. You and others in this thread haven't pointed your rage at them once, but have plenty of it for Trump even with a lack of evidence

Up until there were enough votes to release the files there were zero new investigations in process that would prohibit their release, but now that they have the votes there is a new investigation?
Biden's admin and the DOJ had all of the info they needed to do this during his term but didn't for whatever reasons, and now almost a year into Trumps 2nd term so do they, difference being Trump made very public gestures and publicity stunts proclaiming he'd do a full release, but here we are...
This whole thing reeks of deflection and I for one am really getting tired of politics coming before justice, whomever that justice comes for.

2. It's certainly a possible that's true. Calling it hoax and then proceeding to obstruct the releasing of the files doesn't paint that picture as clearly though. Hopefully when/if they do release, we can get a clearer picture.

I too wish all the info would come to light so we could prosecute and move on. Unfortunately I think there are too many powerful people that were involved with him that we'll never get the full story.
It makes me mad that Trump ran on releasing the info and had yet to do so. But, we are also only in his first year.
Because he is the one guy, publicly facing anyways, who is actively trying to thwart the files from being released, that's why. It feels to me like both sides are bluffing... Democrats, generally speaking, don't really want it released, but they can act like it because Republicans have shown they are going to delay it. And vice versa when Dems had power, they were silent on releasing info while Trump ran on it.
At the end of the day people on both sides are guilty of playing games, and both sides likely have high ranking/powerful people that are guilty... Which is why I think they are all comfortable playing good cop bad cop right now.
Have also said I believe Epstein was connected with intelligence agencies including Israel which is probably one reason Trump was delaying it while he is trying to negotiate peace deals..
