I picked up my LE 450 and have had a few rides... It needs a pipe BAD!!!!!! what have people tried... Other than soft bottom and nothing up top, I have to say I am pretty happy with the rest of the package.

I put White Bro's Ti system on my 08 YZ450F when I had it.... made the bike a completley different more aggressive animal. Im sure any of the top brands would have that effect.
Personally, If it were me, I would get the Akrapovic Evolution Ti system

Do you know any other riders with this machine? What are they running?

I work closely with FMF so you can imagine what I would recommend. Josh Grant got second today at Washougal on his FMF sponsored Yamaha.......

Yea Josh Grant has a lot more hop ups on his bike than just an exhaust system too.... I have an 07 yz450 and also put a white bros. aluminum system on, made the bike completely different. It is almost a necessity with yamahas, the stock system really limits the motor. Feels all corked up. I dont think you can go wrong with a white bros, fmf, procircuit, akrapovich sp?, or my favorite dr. d.

I have an 09 yz450 and I went with the fmf powerbomb header and the factory 4.1 slip on. the difference was like nite and day compared to stock. It gave it a nice smooth controlable power with out rippin your arms off. Ive rode one with the dr. d and personally i like the fmf power delivery much better.

As I understand it, his radiator lowering kit is ment to work with his head-pipe configuration.
That is my planned route, when I buy a new 09 next spring.

Folks, you can go to MXA Online for a five pipe test and they liked the Dr D okay.

I have been considering one of these just for the fact I need a sparky.

I have a 2009 yz450 i run the Jardine 99rt full system it is stainless header and a aluminum slip not ti so cost is way under the FMF 4.1 and Dr D and yes HIGHSIDER you are right u have to have there raditor lowering kit to run their head pipe or you will need to lossen it to change oil filter 2006-2009 all the same. The Jardine uses a expandsion chamber much like Akrapovic..... does it work like theirs don't know but i do like the pipe's sound and pick up was from down low all the way thru and i have a stage 1 kit on carb. One another good buy is a bridgestone m404 front and rear! and a 50 or 51 tooth rear sproket. K im done...........
