makes a lot of since. after the USGP have the national the following weekend. all of the fencing would still be up all of the factory rigs would stay the week. you could use the same track. it would be awesome. the CHP said they will not give pala approval from another event of that size. so lets go back to the best track in So Cal. plus maybe more us riders would ride both events.

Hello,

It has always been so great seeing the races at Glen Helen! Natural terrain unmatched even by all of the hilly tracks out east and on the rest of the circuit.

Pala was a nice race last year, and it was very clear that the people behind the event worked really hard. It's just that on that flat lakebed or whatever that was, you can't create the kind of terrain Glen Helen has on lock no matter how much work you put into it. You could probably just mark out a track in those hills near Glen Helen and you'd have a more exciting course even before the bulldozers did their thing. It's no insult to the people behind Pala or all of their hard work, they almost moved mountains.

But not quite so can we see the race happen at Glen Helen again Please?

Thanks,

Jim

Pala should be added as the last (13th) National and Glen Helen should come back as the first. Your idea holds water on many different levels.

It's a mans track that causes most every riders butt to pucker... It should definitely be on the schedule.

Absolutely both of your ideas hold water on many levels. Unfortunately there needs to be only one reason why a national won't be held there; MX sports doesn't want to.

End of a short little fairy tale.

WORCSRacer is right. after glen helen did everything that finch asked and then did everything that whitlock asked, here comes MX sports asking for more changes. i gets old after a while. they went to the deep pockets one to many times...now they are scrambling on where to hold a national in southern california......

Ok GuyB. By saying those words you verify that Glen Helen does not want a ama national at their venue and MX Sports wants to be there but can't. Thanks for the insider info.

Simply your inability to specify the "incorrect part". But then again, I am not in the business of selling clues.

Its a guess, because I wouldn't dream of speaking for GuyB, but I'm pretty sure he's referring to the part about the CHP permit being denied and then MX Sports having to find a new venue....

Well, that'd be another incorrect part. I think you can expect to be back at Pala for the season-ending National.

Folks we are talking a Saturday attendance of 15,000 max with perfect weather. Watch the race. Look at the pictures. Read the posts.

How the hell could the CHP have a problem with that? High School football games in tx have larger crowds than that.

the answer should have been "it will be back at Pala". not expect it to be back there.

Well, I mean an earthquake could hit Southern California between now and next September, and San Diego county could drop off into the ocean. But short of that, I expect to be back there for another season-ender.

Glen Helen was a simple case of two Businesses not being able to come to terms.

There probably won't be any Nationals there and even if Pala is out judging from the success it was whom ever gets the race will do equally as good, but I think this bullshit about the Sheriff stopping the race is absurd.

One week it's the Hi way Patrol, next it's the Sheriff, next it will be the tribe and after that a random Casino.

Youthstream over takes 2010 DMG/MXS/AMA Outdoor Motocross Nationals. The USGP, 1st MX National and 4 amateur days of racing at Glen Helen Raceway in 2 weeks will be Awesome. Details will come shortly on 11 more exciting US MX National events being produced by Youthstream. 2011 MX Nationals will rock with Monster.

Excuse me, but I think I heard DC say that MX Sports would love to host a national again at Glen Helen, but contract rules wouldn't allow GH to be a part of the nationals this past season. I may have heard wrong.

I love that Win 7 phone commercial too.

Especially the part where Mrs Milf is standing there in her new Victoria's Secret while clueless hubby is in bed just texting away and totally ignoring her.

BTW Pala is here to stay, get used to it GH Fanboys
