Very sad to hear Sad

Until the bikes get lighter (electric) and slower (electric), I doubt we're going to see this high rate of spinal injuries in the sport decline. Motocross is amazing; it is mind blowing to see how fast the pros can ride these machines, but it sure is depressing reading about these accidents every few months.
