No and Never tried one either, I’d rather it work on sketchy stuff that the scoop doesn’t work though
Was an early adopter of the more slippery(as pictured) MX11 then MX12 and now the MX14 the versatility has greatly improved and I think the 14 is more controlled slide and less high sidey than the 32

~90% from my observation. 50cc's all the way up.
The scoop really helps kids get up onto plane in sand. 4” of sand to a 10” tire is like knee deep to a big bike
Been running scoops for 15 years. Obviously not on clay tracks but anything from intermediate to soft sand.
I have always found it weird that the American industry hasn't adopted to it sooner. But i have my theories.
This thread has inspired me. Time for a back tire and I'm gonna go with an MX14. I saw at Ironman all the GP guys are on Pirellis
Pirelli is better than the mx14 imo.
Which Pirelli is it? Do they just have the one scoop or multiple ones?
The Mx 410 soft. Only one scoop, 100 or 110 90 19 for Mx all I’ve seen listed.

I've lived in AZ for 20 years and have never seen anyone run a scoop tire. ACP might be the only track you could get away with it for half the day. That being said, I was at Motoland last weekend and saw two riders running the scoop tire. They weren't fast (to be fair, neither am I) but I had to chuckle at how people take what the pros are doing as gospel. Next time I see someone running a scoop, I'm going to go let them in on an old secret of the pros that painting their nails reduces arm pump.
Thanks brother
