Jeff Alessi to Australia

Edited Date/Time 1/25/2012 11:35pm
Jeff will be racing the last 4 rounds of the Aussie SX series with the factory Yamaha team. Good for him. He has he raw talent. Endurance has always been an issue but I have hears he has been working his tail off to get that up to par. Hopefully he can make a good showing.

his career has been done in the U.S. for a while now. If he can earn a living in Europe or in Asia, then all the best to him.

Is Mike racing all the Australia series? I wish Jeff would focus on a series , like Germany sx, where Mikey isn't. Mikey has been barely cracking the top 10 in Australia and last I looked 11th or 12th in points and I think Jeff can be way better than that. I do think Mikey is way better than that as well . Will Jeff finally take it to Mike or will Jeff being there make Mikey go faster?

I always wondered why Jeff wasn't quite there with Mike's speed. I watched these 2 practice day in and day out on a private practice track on their KX80s and they stayed on each other's asses the whole time. I never saw Mike out run Jeff back then. Guess it's been different come race time.

Haven't seen anything in the local media, or on the Australasian Supercross Championship website, about Jeff Alessi contesting the remaining Super X races. There is; however, a rumour that a second canoe has been delivered to the hotel where Mike's staying, so who knows.

Really can't see him doing anything... I know he's had a load of injuries but it seems like he just hasn't really put in the effort... Maybe Mikey could take some of his over-training and give it to Jeff...

I thought he and Mike were going to be title contenders - well Mike is / has.

It seems after he broke his heel a few years back that he just dropped right off the radar and now he's looking for something overseas.

Time to go back to school and get an education / career.

Or can he earn a lucrative living racing in Asia or Europe? Maybe he'll end up being like that guy Eddie Warren in the 80s who emigrated from the U.S. to Australia.
