The funny thing about those POS MiGs…they’re among the easiest Soviet era a/c to remove from the sky. Their heat sig and cross section are text book examples for a lock-on from waaaaaay far away. A 22 or a 35 could engage them and the MiG won’t know who shot at them…which is probably why they sent those expandable POS’s..
They entered Estonian a/s and ignored all calls on comm’s and ignored intercepting a/c…all…intentional and intended to instigate. Estonia/NATO had them dead to rights…yet, unlike those Russian clowns…they held back.

They’ve been sending drones into Poland and other places quite a bit as of late. Now, they’re flying their a/c into NATO territories without any regard.
This will get interesting.
They also sent two bombers, and two fighter jets to buzz the edge of our Alaskan air space.

It could play out that way.
Perhaps a way to test response times by a country, assuming they feel like it's a risk-free action. I doubt they could do much with that information after seeing their current capabilities in Ukraine though.

I should say that I'm (mostly) a pacifist, and I am very much opposed to starting WW3. That said, it seems like Putin is going to keep playing with fire while the west slowly runs out of patience. At some point, he'll have to paint his enormous failure in Ukraine so far as "War with NATO" (Already openly states that NATO has declared war on Russia,) and frame the conflict as an existential threat. That means his nuclear threats wouldn't be so empty anymore. Dude needs to go away, very soon.
I’m with you, Scary times. Don’t know how much weight to put into it, but NATO Chief has also said that China could simultaneously invade Taiwan as Russia invades NATO nations which would start a world war. China could be giving Russia confidence even as they seem hopelessly lost in Ukraine 🤷🏼♂️

When and if his POS aircraft even attempt to “come at” NATO aircraft…that’s gonna be very telling. From the SAAB Gripens and Euro-Tornados to our 15s, 16s, 18s, 22s and 35s…we’re able to engage from waaaaaay the fuck beyond visual and with AWACS & other “edge of theater and beyond” information systems…which is a big part of what Vlad’s been attempting to probe…and with no success.
Vlad & his Axis of Ass Holes are pursuing their own diplomatic demise…they’ve hatched a “new-born” idea in this stupid attack on Ukraine…and it’s gonna swallow them up.
