I agree that what You posted was an accurate take on what he said. I don't think that I would qualify it as hate speech. Don't say stuff You hopefully do not mean, just because people are getting under your skin. Take a break, and go for a ride.
We all need to stop fighting, and realize we all agree on more than we disagree on.
Try talking about the big issues with some people of differing political views. But leave out anything that could be taken as a left or right perspective on it, You will most likely see that most people You talk with agree on a lot of that stuff. They just start to disagree when You talk about the opposite parties take on how to fix the issue , or what is the cause. I've been doing it for years now and the majority of people I talk with all agree on so much. And it only falls apart when You get down to fixing it or what the cause is. And that seems to be how the politicians want it .

A persons employer firing them for making fun of a murder is the employers right. Just like it was Kimmel’s right to say the things he did. Just because you have freedom of speech, doesn’t mean your coworkers/employer need to be ok with a person making light of or, condoning heinous acts.
Freedom of speech in the US is only there to protect you from criminal charges unlike other countries. He represents his employer. I would’ve fired his ass too.

In the case of Kimel, it's not that black and white. If he was fired because of pressure from the FCC , that is infringing on freedom of speech .
Its more than just protection from prosecution , it is protection from the Government telling You what You can and can not say . In the case of Jimmy Kimmel, the head of the FCC was on a podcast or interviewed someplace and he said that they should do exactly what they did and how they did it. Before they did it. There is another big merger that the FCC has to ok that involves ABC and it looks really bad if nothing else.
The FCC can not ask for somebody to be fired or risk getting fines. That is violating free speech. No matter what the person says, the FCC or any government entity can not demand somebody should be fired without violating the first amendment. They can fine the station for somebody breaking an FCC rule.The station could then fire the person if they decide to. But when the FCC demands somebody is fired, that is not constitutional.
Slander and even hate speech is still covered by the right of free speech. But opens You up to being sued. The Government can not prosecute for hate speech. It can not legally stop somebody from saying whatever it is they want to short of threats and inciting riots/violence .
You can be fired for saying something from any private company of course. Removed from a forum, or Youtube or Facebook, or any of the many private companies.
I'm venturing to guess when you are banned here you will have more time to mountain bike in such beautiful country as your avatar suggests.

I think its doable. It wasn't an intricate plan...where they had Kirk's stage there is basically one location he could shoot from, and that is where he shot from (the buildings closer would have had him blocked by the canopy he was sitting under...I also have on good authority that it was the UVU campus security that turned down additional security from Kirk's team-who offer drones, and additional security measures...and they were declined by UVU security).
The campus is built into the side of a hill...from the outside looking in, a building will look like a 3 story building from the west, and a 1 story building from the east. Such is the case with the building the shooter shot from. This gave him an elevated position to shoot from...and a low 1 story escape off the east side of the building.
I have on good authority that it was the UVU security team that declined additional security help from Kirks team (specifically denying drones, and additional man power thinking its a safe area and they wouldn't have any issues), there was no pressure from any other law enforcement agencies or from Kirk's security team (they wanted more).
Showing his line of sight, and the distance closer to 130 yards is all (an easy shot for anyone with a experience with a rifle and a sighted in gun), no need for an experienced sniper:

E=escape route (you can see him on video from that neighborhood walking back to his car with no limp, and walking in that field behind those houses)
So, could this be planned in a week? Absolutely...Easy access to the roof...easy access off the roof...easy escape route...He blended it like any other college student. I don't see a conspiracy...
Also, for what its worth, I've pretty much decided that the most divisive part of politics in our country is hypocrisy. The right condemns the left for doing the same things they do, and the left condemns the right for doing the same things they do. Nobody will condemn their side, and when their side does something wrong, they just point out how the other side did the same thing and that is their "gotcha" moment to win a debate...Its hypocrisy.

My eyes are terrible … you say it can be seen in the video? I was puzzled by what appeared him jumping off the roof with no rifle and how it ended up n the woods.
