I’m helping a buddy with his bike, and the flywheel timing is super off. So we go to remove the flywheel nut and the flywheel only slips. We’re in 5th gear and I got him standing on the brake. The bike doesn’t move, and it gets super tough to move the flywheel. I don’t think it’s the clutch slipping, because the piston stays tight. I’m a little stuck. Any ideas? I just need the flywheel off.
Impact wrench for the nut
Flywheel puller to remove it.
You can hold the flywheel with a strap wrench or Tusk makes a nice flywheel holder for about $30. If you don’t have an impact wrench a breaker bar should work.
