So I had hernia surgury on Monday. Had a screen put in both sides. Was suppose to be a 45 minute surgury but ended up being 3 hours. I was just wondering from other people that have had it what I'm looking at to get back in the gym and to doing normal things. I have a hard time sitting still and spend alot of time at the gym or running. I know that I can get back to running a little bit quicker than weights. But I'm trying to get a gage on a time frame that I will looking at. Even getting back on the bike. Didn't really expect this surgury to knock me down as hard as it did for a couple days.
Sure, you can screw around with it earlier, push you luck, get a little tear, and go have it done again.......if that's what you want.
Had it done with the mesh.
had complications with internal bleeding that had my scrotum the size of a volleyball.
It was suposed to be an out patient procedure but spent 3 days in the hospital.
Took about 3 months for swelling to go down.
It was either lie down or walk like a sumo wrestler for 2 1/2 months.
Not the most pleasant winter I have had.
That was 15 years ago and it is still tender around the scar.
I am sure the procedure is much less invasive now.
