I am too cheap to pay someone $20 or more just to change the tire, so I learned myself - the hard way. Now I can do it and get a clean install with no pinched tube 99% of the time. It just takes patience and the right technique.

Just buy a new bike when the tires need changing.

It’s easier

My bike has 25hrs, my rear rim looks like it went through the rock garden for all of those 25 hrs lol, I can't not gouge the rim when changing out tires for the life of me.

Being a weekend warrior, I only change about 2 or 3 tires a year, plus a couple of flats. The struggle was real.... lol.   It has been a few years now, but I can finally claim to be a tire changing expert.  Finally, really learned the technique.  Piece of cake now.  Jay Clark has a great video at dirtbiketv1.com.

Yep, either Jay Clark, or the OG , Brian Fleck (who i learned the technique from). Two spoons, a bead buddy, and tire paste, if you’re not doing it like those guys, you’re doing it wrong

I finally built a tire changing stand and it's key to making any tire change quick and easy with minimal tire movement.

3 things I don't like about most stands are, not hard mounted, positioned too low so you're working in a bent over position, and no over head bead breaker.  1000000165.jpg?VersionId=X7H83SvvDFQGiS7Zndx042edGr

Of course, a supply of good quality irons is a must!
