I didnt see many good reviews from last season… mainly all I saw was complaints. Parking. Weather. Etc.
I want to go this year but is it worth it to drive 6 hours? And they keep saying it’s a multi day experience, is it like Motocross with the open pits ?
Anything to do on Friday besides press day?
Thanks in advance. I love being there in person but the TV coverage is so good these days. It’s also a financial decision for me. Spend maybe $500 to be there live or sit on my couch watching Peacock for $6 dollars.
I enjoyed it. The only thing I didn’t like was the track as there was just nothing to separate anyone. October is hit or miss as far as weather here. Might still be hot or it’ll be really nice. Parking is fine but it’ll definitely be annoying exiting once the event is over. Gets bottlenecked very quickly. Very expensive for seats in the stands and the standing areas didn’t let you see a whole lot of the track.
i unfortunately live here in vegas and i wouldn’t make the drive to the speedway! 😂
It was ok. What pissed me off was seeing the track map and seating.. buying seats just high enough to see the back section but still be close to the track sections right in front. Then after i buy, they go add a whole bunch of bleachers on the other side of the track and block the entire outdoor section. That speedway is too small IMO. Im not wasting my money this year.
I went last year and did the “vip” camping. It’s nothing special but was able to pull right up to the track. We had a great time and it was worth every penny! My rv is on the east coast after a lightning strike so hoping it will be fixed before the even. If you end up going you’re more than likely to stop by the rv have a drink and a burger/dog or whatever is on the grill.

Planned to drive from Southern Utah, but looking at hotel prices that weekend has me second-guessing.
And Vegas wonders why it is slow? I have been going there at least every other year, sometimes twice a year. They just keep raising the prices and adding more resort fees. Food is good but prices are out of control. I usually go to Sema put I may skip it this year.
It's worth it if you value being able to walk the pits and see the race in person. As far as Friday, it's Vegas so unlimited things to do and if you planned a weekend with other things there or on the way it could be great.
Friday has all the free practice sessions from 1-4 o’clock.
I’ve always enjoyed the Vegas rd.
Vegas rules and 6 hour drive is nothing. If you can't find something to do on Friday in Las Vegas, I don't know what to tell you!
It's Vega$ so it's worth going to.
I know I’m old as dirt but i remember going to Vegas and room rates/food were so low it was crazy. They wanted visitors to toss money into the casinos so the accommodations were a deal.
I’m passing on it this year. It may be nice weather but it could be a 100+.
I was wrong UFC is another weekend.
This. We had what I thought were great seats in the center/upper of the main stands until we got there and realized you can't see the "out door" section because of the stands on the opposite side. The whole layout of the track wasn't great. Sam Boyd stadium was a lot better in my opinion. The pit area is decent though.
Same. $100 GA standing or $150 to sit. Nah I a good, not worth the drive from cross town.
I went last year and enjoyed it, but probably won't go this year for the following reasons:
- Expensive tickets.
- Venue is very underwhelming given the price of admission. It felt more like a fairgrounds race than a championship finale.
- The lighting is terrible. This round should not be a night race, but the Vegas weather in September could still be brutally hot, so I get the reasoning for not scheduling it as a day race.
If they offered the Friday Fanfest as a stand alone admission, I would likely attend that (assuming sane pricing).
