That doesn’t sound like the thing that really matters. Perhaps there were people who were involved and abused girls but weren’t rumoured to be blackmailed. It could also be that some people were subjected to such rumours but the rumours were false. Whatever list there is, if there is one, would have to be corroborated by evidence so a list wouldn’t authoritatively establish anything anyway. What we should care about isn’t any rumour, or any list. We should be care about the people who abused these girls being prosecuted and punished, irrespective of any rumours or lists. Again, this bullshit about a list is a distraction. People are disagreeing and arguing about a list but I think whatever disagreements we have, we all agree that pedophiles should be prosecuted and punished - regardless of how rich and powerful they are and regardless of political affiliation. I’m guessing there are perpetrators from both parties (though there is no reason to believe that all or most of the perpetrators are politicians).

This is contrasting the government’s investigatory materials (not subject to rule 6(e)) with Grand Jury transcripts (subject to rule 6(e)). This ruling isn’t revealing, permitting, or forbidding anything new, as far as that goes.
The ruling has a very notable paragraph on page 13. It emphasizes, quite aptly, the need for protecting the privacy, safety, and dignity of the victims. “Transparency cannot come at the expense of the very people the Justice System is sworn to protect.” It says that after it states that Epstein harmed over a thousand victims. Holy shit! Over a THOUSAND girls were affected by Epstein’s actions! I knew it was bad but I didn’t know it was to that scale. Good lord.
