I haven’t read all the posts in this thread , but seems some are comparing themselves or their kids abilities to these female racers. Unbelievable! I think it’s awesome these gals are out there and getting some exposure. They are training hard and deserve a lot of credit. Stop comparing them to the men and just enjoy their racing. Women have a place in this sport too.

And some are over estimating their or their sons abilities. I wouldn’t go out of my way to watch it but the top girls rip

Credit where credit is due, at the start of the year we couldn't see any of the WMX racing, now we are getting race day and TV programs manipulated to show what they can. At the moment this has caused a change in the actual WMX competition (shortened motos) which isn't ideal, but I still think it's a step in the right direction. Even in the shortened motos people can see good competition and storylines.

Young girls can be inspired by these women to participate in the sport at whatever level they want, but now they ceiling is on TV, factory supported rides, flown to the races (from Aus in some cases!). This is just the beginning, the ceiling will keep raising. It's shit that the WMX was in stasis from Fiolek, Patterson, Rutledge, Duncan era, but I am so glad it's back, and excited to see where it goes.

If it's anything like what's happened/happening with competitive surfing and skating, we are in for treat.

You don’t hv to travel very far D16 has a fast women’s class.  Bella Johnson is racing 250,450 b also leading or 2nd in points in 1 of them not sure why she’s not doing the wmx a few others would qualify for sure.  We did a double gate drop at Xmas with them 55+.  I listened to there dad,s talking a lot of Great knowledge there b4 the race . What I saw is there in a perfect body position legs& hips re strong .they added alot of corners they hv great speed there . The women got the gates 1st which sucks for us because we get a gate with  a big deep curve rut outside the gate .  1 moto a girl on my rt got stuck in the gate .  Way ovr watered 15 ponds fri night bad start race is ovr so I get it.  Aprox a min later our stop lt procedure started both starts we got held for 9-10 seconds. Bs you do that for the 125 class.  I was Very impressed with the women’s class speed.  The 125 class had 3-4 states & Canadian riders. Next to me 2 spent 6 months this yr at GTF the top 7 unreal fast back to 12th back in 25th of 25th.  The are women are shockingly fast but no where near the speed of the top 125 riders.

Dang, I was looking forward to watching this today, pretty disappointed they cut it to 4mins or whatever it was. If they want women's mx to grow they've got to start treating it like a professional sport and giving them the attention and PAY they deserve. Props to the women who are doing it, but lets be real, even if your folks are loaded who can even afford to chase the dream of being a professional dirt bike rider with payouts like this? 1st - $300  2nd - $200  3rd - $125  4th - $75  5th - $50. Wow congrats you were the best female athlete in the country on a dirt bike today here's $600, thanks for spending the $3k on the weekend to compete. Ridiculous.

A 3rd in the GNC championship gets 300 bucks, sad.  A local race in Wi. Money race with 24 riders . The winner got a 1,800 gas gas e bike  & more cash than a 12th place national guy.  Other big races coming up .  I can make 300 racing 40+ in AX a night if Honda pays 2 classes .

I tried telling him the girls rip. Tayler Allred qualified for pro sport in 21. I think she gave up on racing. I was a mid pack B rider and saw plenty girls faster than me. To say the girls aren't even local b class was crazy talk.

Those girls were flying . Very impressive that Cannon ran her down and passed her. I knew she had the speed to do it. Seems that finger injury set her back. Glad to see the class back to great battles and not just a runaway. This has been my favorite class to follow at the amateur races due to great battles for the past 10+ years.

Fastest lap in that race was a 1:53? That means the 450 class tomorrow will be in the 1:40 range?

Does anybody know where we can find 450 lap times from last year because I just do not seem to remember 450/250 lap times being that far below, if at all, the standard 2 minute lap time?

Regardless that last lap between the women was great racing!

EDIT: Nevermind I found it. https://americanmotocrossresults.com/xml/MX/events/M2445/M1QCOVR.pdf

Chase turned a 2:119. So did they shorten the track for the ladies today?

Yeah same here. Sounds like this was the best one this year too and no one gets to watch it. Super lame!

They don't run the full track on Fridays.

Crazy results. There was no one with more than 1 position difference in finishes between motos.

And 12 of the top 20 had the same score in both motos.

Great racing in that first moto. Did Charli get a bad start second moto or just dropped?

Inaccurate the Wi. Girl went 11,12., not 12,12 .   There’s girls in  Wi. Faster than her . I,d say top 7 ,8 for sure
