I’ll offer you this: not everyone takes The Victim Position that you do.

I’m still laughing at your “Rainbow Cross-walks”. I’m still laughing at your ability to claim victimhood at every turn. I’m still laughing at you.

No worries. Thanks for playing along.

Orwell perfectly predicted how hard ya'll would latch onto Trumps tit (or any man of his personality) because he knows that you and your fellow TDS'ers entire personalities are built around playing the victim and he illustrated many times how easy it is to exploit that mentality.

This is Orwell 101 stuff.

I know this comment is meant to be antagonistic, but I am genuinely curious how the policies you have voted for in CA have served your community? Do you believe LA is better off than it was 30-40 years ago? Do you believe the quality of life across the board for individuals in the LA area has improved? Not looking to argue, I am curious about your opinion and would like you to self reflect on it.

The USA as a whole was in a better place 30-40 years ago. Minus gays not having rights. Our purchasing power was better. Cost of living was lower.

Both sides have contributed to it. They’d rather fling shit at each other then work together for the American people.

The USA had a good run for two and half centuries but the country our fore fathers founded is rapidly disappearing due to corporations having more rights then citizens and special interests.

What a wonderfully perfect Orwellian response... no substance, just dismissive insults.

Thanks Luke!

My comment wasn't meant to be antagonistic, it's literally what Orwell wrote about, "people who believed they were victims latching onto personalities that portrayed power through dismissing facts and destroying institutions in order to change their social and thus subsequent financial standing".

It's hard for me to comment on how my voting has contributed to the change in the world because while many of the social things I voted for have ended up passing – which is great because I am "a rising tide raises all boats" kinda guy – financially (particularly when it comes to war and corporations), I have voted against things that did end up passing which have greatly exacerbated problems I was hoping my vote would prevent.

In regards to peoples lives being better off now than it was 30-40 years ago, I think that comes down to what lens you choose to define as "better off". I know that's a shit response so if I had to pick, "yes or no", and if I were to take a birds-eye view, I would say "yes"... though it would be very easy to point to specific examples of "no".

You should not drink this early in the am.....makes for a long day.

You should not put your complete lack of self awareness on display this early in the morning.... gives those of us with a functioning brain lots of time in the day to point out how ignorant you are.

Seriously, what makes you so special?  You spend most of your life in here shitting on anyone who disagrees with you or telling them they are stupid but then you have the balls to tell someone they "think highly of themself"?

Don't worry "Luke" I don't expect you to have an answer or own up to anything.... I expect you to deflect and blame like you always do... that victim mentality has clearly been bred into your bloodline for generations.

The big theme in Animal Farm was socialism “we’re doing this for the good of the farm…” in essence, taking from those who have and giving it to those who don’t.

It's been a few years since I read it (the last time I read it was when Trump was running the first time) but the theme I took away was, "class struggle being exploited by corrupt people in power and the power of propaganda", which through your lens came off as socialism but through mine came off as a perfect prediction for what we were and are currently experiencing with Trump and everything around his, "Fake News / Make America Great Again", messaging and confirmed by his betrayal of how he promised to handle the Epstein stuff.

I really don't wanna re-read it again (I'm on a bit of a biography kick) but all this Orwell talk is giving me a bit of an itch to dive back in.

Well womboy,

I've said it here before,

My political views are 100% based on free market capitalism.

(Yes, I'm perfectly aware of unbridled capitalism being subject to greedy corruption)

And a supply side economy.

Spent the majority  of my career contributing to the homebuilds of people of means.

Lots of means.

The "evil rich" have allowed me to live a very comfortable lifestyle, keep my bills paid, and my toybox full, and well maintained.

Show me a democratic politician who will allow that.

Their bottom up economic theory fails the blue collar worker, and the money pump that feeds them, and drives this nation's economy.

The welfare class doesn't pay anyone's bills, outside of their own. And in many cases, not even theirs.

In other words, life's experiences.

Not anything told to me via a cable news channel, or internet link.

Fun thing to think about.

Personally, I'd venture to say that everything you experience from the time your born to the time you die forms your political opinions. That's why I champion trying to experience as much as you can as it pertains to the world you live in (travel, volunteer, try different jobs, try different hobbies, different ideologies, religions, etc.) because the only way you'll really understand anything is to walk in everything's shoes. Which, yes I know, is impossible to walk in everything's shoes, but the more people you date the better understanding you'll have about yourself, what's wrong / right with what you thought you wanted, and what you actually want.

When I first saw the title of this thread I misread it as Trump meeting with Palin in Alaska on Friday. I couldn't figure out why he would be going up there to meet her. Smile

I think I have the same desired outcome we all have; Russia leaves Ukraine, the killing stops, and we can then stop funding the war machine. Do I think that it is going to happen that simply, no across all three, but I would much rather see my tax money going to build places up vs tearing them down.

Victimized...? Me...? BwaaaaHaaaaaHaaaaaa

Uh, no, bro.

Ridiculing what you've done to your town? Yes.

You do realize that when I took a group of folks "around your town" during LBGP week...this was a point of laughter for us, right? (And it wasn't the 1st time, either)

Then. we went to a nice beach town for dinner, drinks and entertainment. In other-words, Fuck L.A. ...we went to The O.C. ...no downtown riots...no rainbow stupid shit painted across the street...no stupid-assed DEI agenda thrown in our face.

Now, if you understood the who, where, when and how much was spent...you'd understand that your stupid fuckin' political statement on every fuckin' street corner is costing you more than just...

Embarrassment.

You see, it all started with a bike tour a few years ago when a driver...a very worldly and accomplished driver at that...inquired about..."What's with these stupid fucking rainbows painted across the intersections?" When the messaging and intent was explained to him...by one of your city peeps...he literally...we...literally...LOL'd.

You all are fucking ridiculous.

I'm so old that I remember when LBC was nice. Now? You guys have even fucked up Long Beach State.

Good luck with that.

You Can Not Make This Shit Up

"I'm so old that I remember when LBC was nice. Now? You guys have even fucked up Long Beach State."

Well what do you know, Green plays the victim card yet again.

As a kid, I never thought I would experience a world where so many grown ass men would feel so victimized by some paint on a crosswalk.... yet, here we are.

Bro.... if I wanted to paint up a crosswalk about how hot women are great and it's fun to have straight sex you KNOW the LQGBTXYZ+ crowd would be absolutely up in arms and I'd probably get threats on my life and my families life.

Just look at what happened with the Sydney Sweeney thing.

The team you cheer for gets offended about literally everything, don't lie and act like they don't.

I don’t care enough to get too deep into the woods on the Sydney thing, but I don’t think this is a correct portrayal

I’m sure there’s a small percentage of people that were offended that a hot woman was in an ad, but I think the vast majority were offended by the nazi undertones (blond hair/blue eyes, jeans/genes)
