Smith doesn’t ride for star but anyways all 3 of those guys have been potential threats for supercross titles. So yes they sign people they think can win titles.

With Vialle leaving, if Kitchen doesn’t figure out, next summer is going to be a battle of the teammates between Jo and Hymas. 

Those were the only ones who could put a candle to Deegan (aside from Jmart 😂)

I like Jo, but if Hymas can stay healthy, he’s the top dog next year.

I don’t know man 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ I think they see the speed and think that they can be the team to put it all together for them to make a legit run at a championship. I like Pierce and Smith and if I owned a team I would sign them. If they don’t bring a title, they’ll be the filler guys that bring podiums and a win or two.

You’re probably right. Hymas has more outright top end speed. (Eg gapping Deegan at Thunder Valley,  leading Unadilla moto 1 before his crash last year).

Jo hasn’t beaten Deegan in 1-1 battle like Hymas has at Thunder Valley. It’s always an opportunistic win for Jo (when Deegan has bad start, crashes, etc)

That said, Jo has much more consistency and has actually finished championships and shown speed at every track. That’s something Hymas needs to prove next year, because as of now he’s crashed out of every season or has weird struggles with health. Shimoda probably has better fitness as a result.
