I found mine on Amazon for like $60 less than retail. I would start there.

I would suggest this instead contour HD

Here's the break down...

* GoPro camera doesn't automatically save your footage = batteries die = no footy
* Comes with no software
* Our shop had trouble dealing with defective cameras

Contour
*auto saves your footage when it dies
*comes with software
*has easy to use (with gloves on) on/off switch
*laser sights so you can tell directly where your filming

From using both I now go with contour

Go Pro comes with the waterproof case.. All video is still on your card when the battery dies so the post above is incorrect.

GoPro batteries last 2-3 hrs in below zero temps..

The Motorsports setup is different mounts.. It comes with all the stuff for the helmet cam setup but additional brackets to mount it via a suction cup. It works great.

I wouldn't hesitate a second to purchase a GoPro camera..

I got my son one and we like it. I think the only thing I dont like is that the batteries seem to die real quick and they are expensive to replace.
We got ours from a local shop that sponsors my son. Try your local dealer,they might hook you up.

I heard costco sells the standard def one for 99$. I have one and I love it, not complaints. The they are durable as hell too, so theres no worry about breaking them

mine fell off my helmet and layed in the dirt on sx track after I wrecked into someone and smashed my head on the ground. Had a track worker find it after the race and it is perfectly fine so I have been happy with mine haaha

Just saw the new ContourGPS model. Tracks your location, altitude, and speed. You can view it as a map after the video is completed from what I understand. This sounds awesome!! Great way to map a track for your friends.

I wish i was the one that came up with the affordable mini-cam! lol

The possibilities are endless but I particularly like in car camera stuff in race cars. This one is pretty cool with lots of different angles.
