Received this from FuelTV today

Bubbas World 2

I agree; however, the producers are most certainly looking at a much larger market than just those purists who would be satisfied with watching a show about James training, riding, playing, etc.

Look at Pastrana....no-one seems to give him the same hater comments and he races less than James. Its all about attitude.....

Weapon: Wow, Travis rode until his knees were shot, knocked himself out more than any rider ever in that short of time and was becoming a danger to others, he crashed 10x more than Bubba. Hell i was disappointed but relieved he retired, he's safer jumping out of planes without a para shoot than racing. And if TP threw his skills away for a lame TV show, i would give him just as much hell, but he's racing, he's out there pushing the edge 24/7, big difference.

WTF??? James has won titles in every major AMA Pro Motocross/SX class that there is and you say that he is "throwing" his skills away by going SX only??? Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe after riding and racing since he was 4 years old that he needs a break from racing sometimes??? Naaaa, couldn't be, he is a machine, right?

Oh, I also forgot that he isn't allowed to make money outside of racing. He should be put in jail for that...........

Stewart would have looked cool on "Inside the Outdoors" show too! Because it's about racing..

My only complaint is that they made a behind the scenes show on Stewart when we don't even have a front of the scenes show... know what I mean?... We just want the action. Not all the BS.

And the race card has been pulled. Thanks, we all needed that. It has nothing to do with his actions, just skin color. I guess the people that don't like RD or any other rider hate white people or whatever fuckin color. You're brilliant. All this time I couldn't figure out why I hated the fact that J-Law threw his career away. I thought it was his actions, here it was because he was white. Fuck, thanks for clearing that up, retard.

Bubba seized some meat from the butcher shop and ran away with it until he came to a river. When Bubba was crossing the river, he saw the reflection of the meat in the water, and it seemed much larger than the meat he was carrying. He dropped his own piece of meat in order to try to snatch at the reflection. When the reflection disappeared, Bubba went to grab the meat he had dropped but he was not able to find it anywhere, since a passing Dungey had immediately grabbed the meat and gobbled it up. Bubba lamented his sorry condition and said, 'Woe is me! I foolishly abandoned what I had, in order to snatch at a phantom, and thus I ended up losing both that phantom and what I had to begin with.'
This fable is about greedy people who grasp at more than they need.

Ummmmmm, no it's not all about attitude. James has been getting shit from before he even turned Pro. He was a 15 year-old shy kid and people were still on his ass.

Either way, I'm sure that his bank account doesn't mind the show though.

P
True....but he's getting a lot more shit now. I was a huge fan of his when he came on the scene....and up until recently. Maybe its the way he's being portrayed, but it kinda seems like he has a bit of a bad attitude lately......with the whole mxdn comments and all.

i don't know...it's a show with a motorcycle racer in it. is it cheesy? yea. is it scripted? mostly. but it is still a show with a motorcycle racer, and motorcycles in it, ill watch it this season because of those reasons. i'm just stoked that it's showing more riding, training and is a more moto driven script...wtf?

I wasn't implying anything bad about Pastrana, just saying everyone loves the guy because he has such a positive outlook and is always having fun. I haven't seen Bubba's world (apart from the trailers), but I'd find it hard to believe Bubba would throw his skills away for a lame TV show....

I haven't read all the comments, but I did watch the trailer: Some of you dudes ought to just lighten up, maybe just a smidgen. Yes, judging by the trailer, it does look "heavily influenced by a producer," but I found some of that stuff quite comical in all the acting.

I am looking forward to see how the Mx Des Nations fiasco / Unadilla round is spun. I doubt there's going to be any acting in that episode, so it should be real drama!

I think motocross riders should at least thank the show for giving exposure to the sport. If anything, i bet a few hundred kids with the financial means get involved with the sport due to the show.

To spice things up, they need to bring in more drama filled cast to Bubba's paradise. Put Dungey on the show with Jason Lawrance, Damon Bradshaw, invite Chad Reed out for a month, along with any rider from the 80's with a wild lifestyle (i'm drawing a blank on one of the dudes from the MX files).

I have heard the racist shit at my local track and know many admitted racists. If I didn't maybe I would feel differently. He is the only top black rider in a virtually all white sport, I am sure some of the hate he gets is because of that. I did not say all.

And I will refrain from stooping to the level of calling you names because I will assume guyB appreciates it.

They need to SCRAP the project. Shite, IMO.

Makes James look like a spoiled brat, with no real love of mx, too much money (yes, he did work for it), and just too goofy for my tastes.

I watched two episodes and then just never bothered again. Waste of my time.

Man, I'm gettin' old.
dals3,

Nice summary.

I agree. I watched 1 episode and thought, "WTF????" and never watched it again. The show does put him in a bad light and is total shit, as you said.

I've smoked jlaw when he was a young buck, and I've been smoked by Stewie for the entire time that I raced. I have a soft spot for both of them because I was there with them as a kid. They can both ride the shit out of a motorcycle. This is a great point.

It is 2010, not everything is about race and skin color these days.True equality means that both will be judged based on their ability to ride, results, and the small amount that we know about their personal lives.

However, racism still exists. It is still here with us...I look forward to the day that nobody gives a shit about skin color or descent. It is almost as deep rooted as religion.

Like 3D is saying, though, just because you aren't a 7 fan doesn't mean that you are a racist! People don't like him for other reasons, as well. They don't like his show, they don't like him not racing nats, they don't like the way that he acts on a podium. This is fine as fans, but it is unacceptable to say the entire amount of hate is about color. The people that are racists are growing fewer by the day.

It is people like James that show the world that we are all people.

Well said man.

Maybe I'm missing the whole point of Bubba's World. From a first glance it looked as though it was something like "hey, look at how much of a pimpin' rockstar I am" kinda show....But if we could turn it into a moto version of 'The Hills', that would be funny.

(don't worry, I have said if I actually watched 'The Hills' I would kick my own ass.....but my better half watches it so I somehow watch through osmosis or something. That's my story anwyay Smile )

Dude you need a sedative, who said anything about making money and why do you want him in jail now ? A show where camera's followed him around while racing would be off the charts and a big reward for the fans. What was you favorite episode?

Hopefully the meat that Bubba seized and dropped, that Dungey grabbed and gobbled, wasn't the meat meant for Alberto from across the border. That would be detrimental to the sport.

Now you're just making stuff up to support an argument you never seem to get around to fully explaining?? Go listen to some interviews from James himself from around the time he signed with L&M and you'd know exactly what his feelings were about Kawi, L&M, and being cornered in SX only after a perfect outdoor season. I get what you're trying to indirectly imply and you need to get over yourself.

Some of you guys are pretty harsh. This show is like an extended commercial for the 2011 Supercross series. Everybody complained the show wasn't about racing- well, now it's focused on the racing.

It seems super-cheesy to hardcore moto fans because we know the situations are implausible. Many people knew James growing up-- so we see the acting.
But maybe the show is designed for the casual viewer? Hardcore moto fans would be more entertained if they just showed Bubba riding around on his Supercross track. The average person wants drama.

WTF??? I'm making stuff up??? What exactly did I "make up???"

Also, what EXACTLY am I trying to "indirectly imply?" I am looking forward to hearing this because i have no idea what the fuck you are talking about.

Dude you need a sedative, who said anything about making money and why do you want him in jail now ? A show where camera's followed him around while racing would be off the charts and a big reward for the fans. What was you favorite episode?
