This may explain why we dominate the MXDN and lose the Ryder.

You guys may be unbeatable at Motocross, but your Ryder Cup golfers suck bigtime, even when one is an ex motocrosser!
Guess the weather played it's part as team Europe dominate the Ryder Cup Golf event, led by "Mrs Doubtfire" himself, Colin Montgomerie.

Seem's the Dutch missed Lakewood to save themselves for the "Motocross of European Nations" on homesand in Markello, Holland.
Pity their graphics man cant spell as well as they rode!
Rob excuse's are like asshole's everyone has one and they all stink..

Cairoli has gotten beat more than he has won at the MXdN... He may have had bad luck last year, but if he would have got a holeshot, he wouldn't have had to worry about it. The only thing that matter's is the record book, and the Dungey is the individual overall winner for the last two years. And as far as the USA in general, the MXdN is a very difficult thing to win. You need 5 out of 6 solid moto's to do so. Many teams from other countries over the past years have had talent plenty competitive to win, but haven't put it together. Do we have an advantage in sure numbers here in America yes, but you still have to get on the track and perform.

Let me rephrase your statement in hopes that you may see your biased nature:

This year the European Ryder Cup team got played out of the park by the US team on the first day in conditions that heavily favored Europe. On Sunday they managed to make up points and take the lead due to some incredibly lucky putts made and some horrible luck for the USA. On the final day Europe tried it's best to fuck up a great lead on home soil, but managed to win by the skin of their teeth...

In my opinion both your summary and my summary have a convincing amount of truth in them.... However if you had even a hint of decency that your claiming the Euro fans have, you probably would have started this thread with a statement of positivity instead of negativity.

Your statements wreak of hypocrisy...below is probably something you should have said.

Congrats to the Team Europe in the 2010 Ryder Cup, and thanks to both teams for making this years competition most enjoyable to watch with some great golf on both sides...

I think we won the battle that counted most;

The British Surrender at Yorktown, 1781
Are you really comparing the US war for independence to a golf match?
Are you really taking me seriously?

I can just see Colin Montgomerie patting the Ryder Cup like Bubba did! Whatever way you look at it , it will say Europe against the 2010 champions.

BlahBlah Your statements also wreak of hypocrisy..."incredibly lucky putts" "some horrible luck for the USA"

Team Europe won!Wink Wink and yes there was some great golf from both sides!

Did you even read my post... the sentance directly above the paragraph you took my "hypocratic" quotes from reads..."Let me rephrase your statement in hopes that you may see your biased nature."

Well the verdict is in Rob.. YOU HAVE NO HOPE

It's obvious that I have wasted my time in attemps for you to simply see that a positive statement would have gone much farther... Let me quote my previous post one last time.

Sometimes you get more out of a loss than a win. I believe that to be the case at this year's Ryder's Cup. Perhaps our fans will remember how our players were treated over there as well and reciprocate in two years time. It was as close an outcome as could possibly be. We lost by half a point. There is no shame in losing. History may well look back on this losing team as the one that changed the perception and attitude of the american golfing public for the better. As motocross fans {on both sides} perhaps we, could take a lesson here as well.

It's you who doesn't "get it"!!

I've just been joshing with you, playing the devil's advocate, acting like a lot of Team USA fans do on here when you win the MXoN each year with a euro slant of the "USA rules, Europe sucks Mentality!

Can't remember reading many positive comments about how the rest of the world rode in Lakewood or the fact that the only two riders who raced Dungey this season happen to be an Italian Antonio Cairoli at the MXON or Belgian Clement Desalle at Unadilla.

Yes I agree with your final statement!

At least when I comment on something someone says I take the time to read their statement.......

I bet their was at least 5 threads going at one time on how well Roczen rode in the MXdN... as far as the rest of the GP talent, All of the big names rode so so... When Desalle gave Dungey the best moto of the year half of this board lit up praising him..

USA rules, Europe sucks Mentality is really only spewed by a few moron's on hear... most people on both sides of the pond would agree that their is awesome talent in both championships. I'm just glad they are all heading over hear to race SX this year, it's going to be awesome.

BLAHBLAH, I'll assume you're kidding when you say, "Most countries count podium's, USA considers 2nd place the first loser...". I have many American friends and I know that such bumper sticker mentality does not speak for them. It might; however, make a good signature for someone on Vital.

As for your critique of this thread; while I agree with most of what you are saying, the fervor which which you are saying it seems to be playing into robkinuk's hands, which, I'm guessing, was a fishing expedition. In fact, based on some of the posts here, it comes across as though some people are really good at dishing it out but not so good at taking it.

There's no shame in 2nd place, or 6th, for that matter. Go Australia!

Dear Europe:

It is true -- you are much better (and more polite) than we are. We are fat, and we are many which explains why we consistently beat you at nearly everything. Per capita you're clearly better. OK...can we get back to talking about moto now?

If we're just talking about the MXdN, I would agree with Blah squared.... We are expected to win because we're the USA. That's the expectation the world has, and why some take joy in seeing the USA defeated. Not all Euros feel that way, just as not all Americans hate every GP motocross racers. American racers feel more pressure then they ever have had before (per Ivan, Dungey, etc.) in their careers... we aren't supposed to leave the MXdN from anywhere, but the top step.

In other arenas, the '2nd place, is the 1st loser mentality" is out there in the USA, just not one that's I think is worth living by.

Time for a Bass Ale... a beer that has made its home on the top step.

"USA rules, Europe sucks Mentality is really only spewed by a few moron's on hear"

Many people confuse the word here with hear such as the statement above moron's hear, also placing an apostorphy where it is not needed is common too. moron's instead of morons. Never use an apostrophe to indicate a plural. Capitalizing a word in the middle of a sentence that does not need is is pretty common as well as in sucks Mentality

Seems like some moron's is loose at the Keyboard again. LOL Smile

My statements of "2nd place is the first loser" and "if your not first your last" was an attempt at humor, I am not sure if Talladega Nights is a hit Australia but the above statements were quotes from that movie........... I was attempting to show the pressure that is placed on the USA team while adding in a bit of comic relief. I apologize for being a poor comedian.

Understood. I'll have to rent the 'Talladega Nights' DVD. My son's shown me a few scenes on YouTube. It's the movie about cars going around in circles really fast, right? (Only kidding to any NASCAR purists).
