How about a little Moto love for the Irish?, winning the B final then going out less than an hour later to contest all three MXoN moto's.
Well done to Gordon Crockard, Stuart Edmonds and Martin Barr, true Irish paddy scrappers, to the man!

I wore my German shirt on Saturday. Left my Ireland one at home. I felt kind of disloyal to my roots for doing that.

Yep well said 2,3 5 in the B final too.

But I know their performances in the A final really suffered because of the extra race..they are better than 20th for sure....Barr and Crockard aren't far off Nicholls, Anderson and Osborne in the UK when they are riding well. Edmonds was riding great as well on the TMl...looking forward to making the A final on the Saturday next year then we will see their true speed in the A final! Wink

I hope the Irish Americans cheered them on!

The announcer sure loved Gordon's nickname. I don't think I'll ever hear his name again without thinking "oh yeah, the CROCKSTAR!"

Maybe I watch too many Moto videos, but I was expecting a bit more in the main. Anyone know what happened to team Ireland in the main? I'm half Irish, and was pulling for them.

they had to race 3 35 minute motos in the heat and at altitude.. neither of which they are used to here...and the first race was not long after the B final.. it was impossible to show their full potential.. but they never gave up and know they are capable of more and better results if they get straight into the A final on the Saturday...

Fair play to Stuey, Barty Barr & Crockstar. Stephen Russell also puts in a big effort each year to get the team to the race.

They were racing in conditions unbeknown to them this weekend with the heat and the altitude. They did very well to get to the A final. Congrats to the lads!

The Irish team and their supporters were chillaxing at my hotel for four days.

Marriott Residence Inn - looks like a nursing home, but without bingo,

green jello and bed-pans.

Good folks.

Unsure what language they speak, but very cool people.

I sat next to Crockard and Edmonds on the first leg of my flight home, very cool and down to earth. The lepricans were sitting behind us, and somehow managed to behave themselves... They were one of my favorite things about Budds 07. I told Gordon they were my 3rd favorite team- behind USA and Canada!
