It took people a while to realize Stanton was the real deal too. A lot of the same things were said about him, but he just kept winning. RV can't finish a series and James only does one, going to be real hard for either one to stay sharp enough to deal with Dungey.

I think it's clear now that it's more than lack of competition.

...one last thing about Dungey, remember, he is only 20 years old! will be 21 this December. Still a long way to go and improve/mature, though he is only one year younger than RV.

Villopoto wiped his &$$ with Dungy in the 250's and will do so on the 450's, especially outdoors...and Bubba will go 16-0 in SX this year. ( watch everyone have a shiz over that last comment ) oh sorry just talking to the dog there...Tongue

James did not go 24-0 against the same competition, he did not go 24-0 against Villopoto, Dungey, Reed, Pourcel, or Cairoli. Check your facts one more time on that statement. RV beat Dungey in 2007 and 2008 in the lites class. The test for these riders is when they move from the lites class to the premier class. RV is 0 for 2 there, and while Stewart beat Dungey at A1, Dungey cleaned the floor with Stewart at Dilla (and the last time Stewart raced outdoors, he was 24-0). Like it or not, Dungey has proved himself, and it's the other riders who have to show that they can beat Dungey at this point. Comparing lites records from two and three years ago doesn't help your case any.

Every one knows he's been lucky in the past and I agree. But the problem for the rest of the pack is that Dunge has taken those breaks and seized them with both hands. By the time everyones back it might be too late to stop the freight train.

His confidence is mile high, anything he does, anyhow he takes a corner he knows it`s going to work. It`s hard to beat a rider who`s decisions on track is 99.99 % accurate.

Dungey proved he's the best at the moment. But although I think he is a great champ he is also kind of boring to watch.... Can't remember being excited to see him races, it's all to smooth and clean. Other great champs like Stewart, Charmichael and RV are more fun to watch! I would love to see him ride a bit more aggressive but hey, if this us the way he wins champignonchips I douth he will change his way of riding...

He still hasn't beat Stewart in a head to head SX duel so in your defense you should say Dungey is the fastest Outdoor rider. If you're going to waste your time making it I will waste mine finding a flaw in it. Silly

To win championships and dominate in MXdN for two years you need to have the complete package, Dungey has it and he wins.

Stewart is (was) mad fast, but seems his work ethic ain't as strong as Dungey's.

Cairoli is real fast too but can't seem to deliver under pressure.

Villapoto is a threat, but can he go the distance?

Faith is the foundation that gives RD5 everything else to build from. Humility, clean life, great work ethic, teachability, no BS, coolness under pressure.

His best years are ahead of him.

he only beat cairoli because of 2 big reasons:

1) cairoli was called into team italy last minute thus, he didnt train in high altitude or basically at all for this type of event (IE the altitude, weather, etc)

2) during the race he cased the quad (trying to pass on the inside) and hurt his ankle, wrist, and back.

does anyone remember what he did last year? yea... until he crashed out.

We shall see. So by your reasoning, until RD beats RV outside, RD has to prove he can do it. Because the last time they raced outside, RV "cleaned the floor" with EVERYONE. RV had a better showing at the MXON, he beat RC and did it on a 250F!
