Reigning AMA national enduro champion Josh Toth decided to try his hand at southwick in the 450 class. He ended up with a 25/26 for 25th overall. Then you add to the fact that Josh has done less than 20 MX races in his career and that's quite the accomplishment. But wait, theirs more! He then drove to southern Ohio Saturday night and finished 1st overall at the little raccoon classic national enduro which leaves him tied for the overall lead in the series! Josh is a throwback rider who has done hard enduro,GNCC, national enduro and MX.
Jase or Hopper are you out there? He would make a great interview.
He also won XC2 and took the overall at the Snowshoe GNCC the weekend before!
These types of all rounders deserve a lot of praise. Good to see. 👏

Josh is a local and is an awesome guy, and I would argue that a lot of people would consider him the most well rounded in the US right now.
He won a brutal 90 degree 3 hour GNCC at Snowshoe in wet rocky conditions, he was dry heaving and shivering at the finish along with a lot of the other guys last Sunday.
Saturday goes to Southwick and gets P25, has his buddies drive him 12 hours to Ohio Saturday night while he sleeps in the back of his van and then wins the NEPG on Sunday.
To be the best guy in these conditions one weekend and then be the 25th fastest guy on a sandy motocross track the next weekend is unreal.

This reminds me of how times have changed over the years in racing and how specialized the disciplines are now. For example, back in 1968 (before my time but I do read a lot) Mario Andretti and Bobby Unser were scheduled to do the Monza F1 race and the Hoosier hundred dirt track race on the same weekend! They did practice Friday, flew back and did the Hoosier hundred and then back to Monza. It was only a protest by Ferrari that kept them out of the race via an obscure rule. But it shows how different it is now, not better or worse per say, just different. If it had four wheels Andretti, Unser or Jim Clark would have a go. Same with Toth, I think he would have a go on a road race bike or flat track too. I remember the superbikers and it was always interesting. Would love to hear about other stories about racers who crossed over to other disciplines.
Proud to say I sold him and Dad his first KX 65 back in 2004, gotta say I never saw this coming, he was racing NETRA youth scrambles at the time.
Low key flex he raced and did well on like 15 different bikes last year, different brands, different displacements, 2 stroke and 4 stroke. Dude could have been competitive on a Bird scooter.
