Hi guys. So this crusty rm popped up 7 minutes away from home and got it for 300 bucks, she's rough but can see through it. Although in middle of 2 different builds, I couldn't pass up a local good deal and be honest, I love 99-00 rm125's. This poor suzuki is so confused it thinks its a kawasaki 😆
Plan is to rebuild motor, powdercoat frame and best i can without breaking the bank, making it a TP199 based build. Definitely no crazy works stuff but ill try to make it close as i can.
Got to see the 2000 tp199 rm 125 in person at southwick as a kid and my dad asking one of the chevy guys if he can sit me on it. I'll never forget that. Funny enough kid to my right would later own a 99 rm125 and is a close family friend. Fast foward 25 years and he's my best best friend and now my brother in law. He was looking for some side money hustle and I need a hand building bikes as well as my ebay store thats gaining steam. Today we worked on this rm together, super nostalgic for both of us. Anyway we both agreed it has to be a tp199 build 🙂 Ps i need to find that red fox hat cause I still have it and TP199 and bunch of other signed it 🤔
One last thing I thought was interesting was the F&S seat cover. Between that, the cool billet triple clamps ( performance engineering), excel takasago wheel set and factory connection suspension stickers makes me think someone loved it at one point or it was someone's hammered old race bike. Either way always cool seeing stuff like that
What is the name of your eBay store? Looks like a fun build. It reminds me of a friends travis Pastrana inspired bike he had.
So my ebay user is shke8072. Currently parting out a 91 cr250, 99 kx125, 03 kx125 and various other stuff from other builds through the years. As for the rm build here, when I looked little closer I realized I had 2 junk shift forks. Luckily ebay to rescue! I scored all 3 shift forks from a guy for $25 bucks, what a steal! So once I get that, I have a pro x rod kit to rebuild the crank, some pro x main bearings and seals then bottom end will go back together. In mean time I'm gonna get these frame rails filled in and suspension rebuilt in next few weeks

Scored a really mint 2000 frame from a seller on ebay for 120 bucks. Bikes from AZ, frame rails are perfect shape. Feel better about using this frame then trying to repair mine. As well as I mentioned my super deal on all 3 shift forks.
Starting to make progress again. The other frame showed up and things absolutely mint!
New engine gasket kit, main bearings and pro x rod kit came in. Tommorow im sending frame to the powdercoater, my crank and rod kit off to be rebuilt and cylinder is getting replated. In mean time I looked over some of the crusty parts I have and cleaned up. Silencer and head came out pretty good. The pipe eh not so much, think I'm gonna get a new PC pipe since bills doesn't make a pipe for these anymore. 
Forgot to mention the crusty barnacle that is the carb, I'm gonna be buying a carb for sure 😳![]()
A guy in the buy/sell forum has a Bill's pipe for sale right now so move quick and check it out.

Yeah I saw that, but that's for the newer generation I need one for a 1996-2000. I'll find one eventually, thanks dude I was always big travis fan so just seemed right to go that route. If anyone sees one for sale let me know!
Hey MX707 - I’ve got a 2000 RM 125 I bought about a year ago and have been collecting parts for the build.
Sometimes I get to talking to a seller and we make a package deal on a whole bunch of stuff I can’t pass up - so I have some extra / duplicate parts that may be hard to find that may be of help to you. Holla if you need something.
Also, I had a Performace Engineering billet clutch basket for one of my RM’s back in the day…I believe it was for an RM 250 I raced for a few years. Bought it off of eBay when you could still find some cool NOS parts for these back in the mid 2000’s. They made good parts.
I have an NOS Performance Engineering basket for my KTM 125 build. Never heard much about them, but I couldn’t pass the deal up that I got on it for a billet basket.
Thank u I appreciate that! I'll definitely send u a msg if I'm missing some stuff. Getting hard to find parts for these. Next up is rebuilding the suspension, linkage and wheels. Got some nice excel gold rims for her that I'm gonna lace to the stock hubs. Hopefully gonna look like a bike again soon
