the above vid was James Stewart winning (for the USA) with team mates Tim Ferry and Ryan Villopoto in 2008.

This is a Racer X slideshow from 2006 when James with team mates Ryan Villopoto and Ivan Tedesco also brought home the Chamberlain for the USA:

Yes the team USA win but not Stewart He got beat by Stefan Everts, so he's not the fastest rider in the world, he never was.........

Albertyn - beat Everst 1993 and 1994 - 250cc world champs, came to U.S. and took years to win a championship.

Totelli - beat Everts 1998 - 250cc world champs, came to U.S. couldn't win.

DV, Pichon and Reed, left the world champs very early in career to race U.S. only Reed was able to win U.S. championships (premier class).

point is that Everts stayed in europe as his competition left. If these riders had stayed in europe there is no one who'd argue that his win and championship count would be nothing near what it is.

That's just talking non-U.S. riders. Had the emphasis and glory not turned to the U.S. championships in the 80's, he would have had to deal with McGrath, Emig, Henry, RC and many more throughout his career. But he didn't, he stayed where the competition wasn't.

I know this horse has been beaten badly, but thought I'd give it another good whack.

Stefan won the Chamberlain Trophy for Belgium and with his team mates in 1995, 1997, 1998, 2003 and 2004. He is a great racer, one of the very best.

I am a fan and was a fan of his fathers (Harry Everts) when in 1975 he was world champ on a Puch!

Certainly great legends of our sport!!!

Well.......I can't Argue Stephan Evert was just an all around badass on a bike! Dude is one of my heros in this sport!
