Awesome story. I lived on the Naval Air base in Iceland as a kid in the 70's and can tell you that resources in Iceland aren't anywhere near what they are around here. Great to hear some good people are helping them out. I wish them the best of luck!

Excellent story. With no major riders and a bankrupt economy, I´m happy for them!
Heck, my country as an excellent economy and some decent up-and-coming riders and we don´t get the funds to send a team. Go Iceland! (they are pretty much Norwegians with a funny language anyway)

2 that! Kudos to the Wineland family, the local dealer Bruce Balton and Novik Glove!

thanx for posting that red rider.that story was real cool. i hope that all of our team riders, mechanics, managers, etc, and all of our fans, give the iceland team a big old american welcome. though they live halfway around the world, they are still moto brothers...and that includes all the other euro teams coming over also....

Great story!

I thought this part was pretty funny. Smile

"On the practice track, MX2 rider Eythor Reynisson would keep pulling off the track and stopping whilst running motos. The local “squirrels” were scaring him and he wouldn’t go near them. These squirrels were actually prairie dogs - something he’d never seen before – but now he’s not so afraid and doesn’t mind riding past them."

Hope those guys make it to the A Final.

Go Iceland! I've stopped in there a few times on a layover. Wasn't much to see at the airport way back then. Smile
