2012 RMZ250. Complete rebuild from crank to top end. Rear wheel spins fast when in neutral and running on stand. With it off on the stand I can spin the tire by hand but it has resistance. I can push it around but not as easy as it should be or as easy as my other bikes. It will shift through all the gears with no issue. I replaced the clutch basket, hub, fibers, metal plates and cable during build. Everything is torqued to spec. Was a none running project purchase so unsure of any pre-build issues, I just replaced any parts I found that were worn including all transmission bearings. Any help is appreciated.

Have you ridden it yet?
It may settle down after an hour or 2's use when its all bedded in and settled
I have not ridden it yet other than in the yard. I've never had a clutch act like this.
I would remove the clutch plates and stack them up and make sure they are all flat. When stacked they should not be able to be pressed down any more. One warped plate would make the stack be able to be pushed down a little bit.
This isn’t a clutch issue. It’s a transmission issue. The clutch is locked solid, fully engaged when the bike is on the stand. The transmission is in neutral and that is where the disengagement is supposed to be but it now has undue drag.
The usual causes in situations like this are the trans being improperly assembled (washer missing/misplaced etc) or a bearing not being fully seated and causing side load on the gears/shaft. There is another thread on here about a KX60 with same issue and much time was wasted thinking it was a clutch problem.

I removed the clutch and found the second metal plate from the bottom bent. Replaced all clutch metal plates. Fiber plates were all flat so I reinstalled them. It is better but not freely spinning as all my other bikes. Transmission was assembled with new bearings and shims and spun freely before I installed the clutch. Guess I'll tear it back down. And recheck a few things. Doesn't make any sense
