map switch thingy for GasGas 350

got a 2023 gasgas 350...doesnt have the switch for the maps....Do the preloaded maps come with traction control and quick shift? or just 2 maps. And if its just 2 maps, Can i get away with a $35 map switch slavens sells compaired to the $200 on thats is OEM?    xoxox Thanks

2023 is still the older platform on Gasgas. Does your whole side panel come off to change the air filter or just a small panel about the size of the air filter?


The switch has two map selections plus tc on/off. I have a used one I will sell for a lot less than $200.

Just the airbox cover comes off.  nothing else.  Shoot me a picture of the switch...I am intertested!   thanks

I have the same bike (2023 MC350F).   I purchased the same map switch @wrc777 posted in his photo (fits the 2022 KTM 350SX-F application).
It will function 100% with your stock GasGas ECU allowing you to access the more aggressive MAP 2 as well as traction control.

MAP 2 is worth the cost of the map switch on these bikes.

If you upgrade your stock ECU later to a Vortex, you can still use the map switch to choose between two of the ten maps in the Vortex.

It's plug and play, couldn't be easier.  Just find the corresponding red connector behind your front number plate.

In my opinion, KTM builds a tragically low quality wiring harness. 
Use some zip ties to add strain relief and make sure the steering can go lock to lock without flexing the wires where they enter the connector plug and socket.

A bit of silicone grease inside the connector will help prevent corrosion and make it easier to disassemble later down the road.

Also, those map switches are rubberized, but they'll leak water if you blast them with a pressure washer and eventually fail.
