30+ a rider, I ride a 50/50 mix of moto and woods.

I had a 17 350 sxf, 19 350sxf, a 19 250fx, then a 23 mc125 and 300xcw, then a 24 250xc, and now a 25 250fx.

The Yamaha chassis feels more planted & consistent while cornering and in the super fast rough stuff.

Suspension is better, for myself on the Yamaha.  The Yamaha out of the box is much stiffer than the 24 250xc was. I don’t revalve my suspension. I can turn the clickers in on the Yamaha and be comfortable on mx tracks while still being able to back them out for national enduro type enduro riding. In the super slow hard enduro type stuff the ktm suspension works better. The front forks on the 24+ xc’s are a big improvement on the small bumps over the air forks on the 23 ktm’s though.

The Yamaha definitely has less bottom end compared to my last (19) 250fx.

People making a fuss over weight, back in the day, C grade class, half the feild were almost 200lbs or more, riding on non power valved 125cc moto, or 175cc off road.

Remember it's 90% rider 10% bike.
