BRTP4 did pretty good. KTM started as a metalworking shop.
Suzuki is the strangest to me...from weaving looms to RMZ450s?

Haven't seen "Twist the Throttle."

Apparently Yamaha gained experience in metallurgy through making piano strings. This helped them in developing motorcycle frames. I think it's interesting how Japanese cocktail shop engineers ended up being so dominant in American recreational markets. All the big 4 are wildly successful enterprises. And they all basically involved individuals that built themselves into international entities.

thought they started with sewing machines but yer right, guns at first.

Ihad a german CZ pistol for awhile, swatsticka's all over it.


I still find it weird, going to the hardware store and seeing the Husky lawnmowers
and chainsaws. Lately, they're everywhere.

If you look at the Yamaha logo, you will see that it is made up of tuning forks - a tribute to the piano strings.
