If any thing it would be wildrat or Aztec. I went to many a local race at Thunder valley and only saw Andrew race there a handfull of times. There are also a lot of private tracks around Colorado springs that all the local pros ride at . Home state sure. Home track not.

Any track in the same state, or even in the next state over can be considered a rider's home track - even if the rider never raced there growing up. And any track in Colorado is by default Andrew's track because he grew up racing those same high altitude conditions - more than any other rider on the circuit. Hell, even Freestone is now known as Andrew's home track because he lives 3 hours away in Smithville, Tx. Home field advantage means everything.
I wouldn't take the term "home track" so literally.

Yes, TECHNICALLY Andrew's "home track" was Aztec (and Wild Rat) but don't kid yourself, Andrew has TONS of laps at Lakewood as well. I don't know which Lakewood races you were attending all those years but trust me, Andrew was there. Ivan is the one (like Tomac) who usually only came to Lakewood for Loretta qualifiers.
There was obviously the period when none of us raced Lakewood because it was closed for a while, and that happened to be right when Andrew was coming up. But that was also the same exact time Ivan was, so don't think Ivan was somehow racking up more laps than Andrew at that time lol. Also don't forget that he's raced SRAC since he was on 60's! He's also done the Wednesday night practice there many times (I don't think Ivan logged the 6 hour trip from Albuquerque for that!).
Either way, the point is quite obvious that even if they completely redesigned Lakewood (there are indeed quite a few changes), Andrew will be feeling really comfortable with the dirt, the altitude, and his general surroundings. It's as close to the BMX track in his back yard in Black Forrest where he got his start, as the MXDN is ever going to get! Let's not split hairs. HUGE home field advantage, nuff said.

That is the day I learned what scrubbing truly was and I knew that I would never have the balls to do it myself. Andrew would hit a jump going full throttle, much faster than us regular folks hit the same jumps, but he would scrub speed so hard and always land perfectly on the downside. If I hit the same jump that fast I would launch into the stratosphere, but somehow Shorty did it right every time. It blew me away.

I've heard a lot of talk about the decision to put Short on the team so it's obviously a touchy subject. I'll give my opinion on the topic (the unbiased version) later on the Race X Motocross show.
Regardless of who's on the team, I'm sure we can all agree that this race will be epic! Anyone out there who is even considering skipping it, don't!!

Got a pretty sweet place to stay at!
I was racing in the 250 expert class in Keithsburg and some guy pulled right into me as I was lapping him...it was Pete . He tried to introduce himself while I lay on the ground...I told him I was busy trying to win the race...that was Pete always trying to be friendly .Pete actually took out a number of top riders over the years as they were being lapped....he said it was a good way to meet people. Over the years Pete put on weight....around 320 lbs, 5" 3". So Pete invented some pretty special suspenders and sold them around the country. Ultimately, the profit from his brain storm allowed him to purchase DVR.
Make no mistake, we always have the best camping spot @ Thundervalley (next to John Ayers and Davey Coomb's)...Pete went from being poor skinning kid in Iowa to mega power player in the world of MX promotions.
Shorts first mx race was at VDR.....
