1% of 1% of the worlds richest people are definitely the biggest problem and hinderance towards a free society for the rest of the 99.9% of the world’s population. So there’s that… It does matter. Its optics and it sets a precedent.
However I do agree with you that it’s completely blown out of proportion and its really just used as a selling point to keep people from coming together. The whole system is absurd and completely irrational. Only the .01% could rationalize and benefit from this nonsense
But even that is a bad argument and i dont ultimately agree with my own self. The fact is is that social issues like trans crap is merely a symptom of the bigger problem which is the way our society is structured. Without the government giving away free hormone replacement treatments and sex changes (thanks to our tax dollars), this problem doesn’t exist. It’s a social engineering tactic used by our government.
Also even if we removed the .01% of the richest people in the world from the face of the earth, it matters not. It’s the system, and the way we have allowed or society to be organized that allows individuals to gain such wealth in the first place that is the problem. This system works for them! It does not work for us!

I was making the comparison to say that although it is such small numbers of individuals, and that it hardly affects anyone directly. And that the media blows it way out of proportion. It does set a precedent, and a bad one I believe.
