the black flag and be removed from the contest but other than that, it seems like a good plan/foundation to move the sport forward at a professional level.
Not only it became a spec class but also a lease program?
Imagine a similar setup to to the Wonder warthog rig with a lease tied to the bikes and transportation?
As an example for $10,000 you receive the following support...
1. 250f or 250 2 stroke race bike with all spec components installed and maintained by a staff provided buy the sponsoring company. The option of the bike would be up to the company...similar to the KTM Super-X Challenge
2. Same bike for rider to keep and maintain at home as a practice bike. The rider would be responsible for maintaining the practice bike
3. Bike transportation would be provided to the select nationals in the series. One rig runs east coast/one rig runs west coast.
4. Rider is open for gear sponsorships
5. Rider is responsible for travel to and from the events
Obviously there are a ton of details that would need to be worked out.
In order for it to happen it would need to be financially beneficial for the promoters and MX Sports. Out side of that I'm not so sure that it shouldn't be set up as a non-profit organization so donations by benefactors inside and outside of the industry would be a write off.
Another important item is the actual development of the participants both on the track and off. During the nationals veteran riders could be asked to speak on various subjects such as financial advice, off track distractions, etc...
In the end it needs to provide us with better racing and more competitive riders that are less likely to fail for all of the wrong reason when they do graduate to the premiere classes.
Thanks for all of the feed-back...with all of our ideas perhaps someone will hear our prayers.
Braaaappppppp!
Pit Row
Then the top crop of Juniors aged 14-17 from Loretta Lynns and Europe / Australia / New Zealand etc etc could race an AMA outdoor mx for a very low cost and get themselves in the spotlight for a future ride in the 250f class..
Post a reply to: A 3rd class at the Nationals?
