Who said he signed a couple of days ago. The whole discussion was about there's no evidence of him signing anything. I think DV spreaded that rumour that he actually signed something, but when GuyB asked CP about that he said it was crazy because he hadn't signed shit and that his agent was working on the best deals, and he said it didn'r really matter what factory team, they are all good and his riding style works with all bikes.

I think we all will now within weeks.

The interesting questions is how much is he worth right now, before the title chase is over. Will his price increase after a win, and what would happen if Trey won. I bet that's a big question for the teams and probably the reason why nothing is clear right now? He probably already have some offers.

Personally for me he's gold. He has something the others don't have but if he doesn't get his shit together and win the title it will be damn harder for me to make him this supreme being I have been "promoting". Maybe Honda feels the same?

Just saying of course.

I heard KTM offered him a lot more money, he rode the 350 and said there was no way the bike can compete against the 450's in America, maybe the Euro/GP stuff with factory parts, yes, but not on the American circuit and he'll be riding red soon.

Why doesn't anyone believe Canard and Pourcel will end up on the same team. It's NOT Jlaw and Dungey or Grant and Alessi. I don't think TC an CP have any sort of rivalry except being both clean racers going for a title in the little bike class.

As far as I heard at Southwick this weekend he hadn't signed yet, but he is asking for ALOT of money. I know he wants significantly more (3 times more) than Dungey just re-signed for, and I don't think he will get it.

His fitness issues will only get worse on a bigger bike if he can't figure something out. Sucks he can't train in a normal way. I wonder how much that was a factor in his deal.

I'm afraid Pourcel is going to have to lower his expectations for money.
He'll find himself in the same boat as Reed did...ie nobody can afford him.
The team budgets are getting tight(even Hondas)and frankly, he's not going to be THAT vastly superior to the other top 450 riders when it comes to the it-I don't think anyway.
But he'll be a definate factor though...
