Great turn out at the county council meeting last night. During public comment we had a pretty strong turnout. A former pro racer who is a current land developer spoke in favor as well as the owner of On Track school, the mother of a current pro and as Vice President of Daytona Dirt Riders and Area Director for FTR I spoke in favor of it. Funny as you would think a bunch of dirt bike racers wouldn't be good in front of a bunch of muckety mucks but even the 15 year old kids gave better arguments than the greenies who basically did a bunch of hand wringing and gave no logical argument against. What looked like it could have been a close vote turned out to be 7-0 in favor of purchasing land with the intention of putting a motocross off road facility on it. Still
Awesome! Please feel free to PM me when the next meeting occurs. Me and the boys will be there. I wish I had known about this one.
Awesome, great work. I thought after the Tomoka Farms Road proposal got shot down this might be dead, what a pleasant surprise.
Great news.
I thought so as well but it looks like they really did their homework.
This really should be huge news. With the recent news of tracks being only about closing it's amazing that a county is opening one.

I just love Florida
Shhh! Don't let the Californians or the New Yorkers know. Tell them about the "special" surcharges for out of state plates.😂
Looks like they’re trying to dismiss the lawsuit the old Karen is trying to pursue. What’s even her argument against it anyway?
I'm surprised there is any land left.
Florida is awesome👍 hot as hell too😂
Just buy Hardrock.
That the area is a “critical” wildlife area. Crazy I never saw her name challenging any of the new hundreds of neighborhoods that bulldozed acres and acres of untouched land in the last 5 years. She’s just another kook from Miami.
Another one of their talking points is that it shouldn’t go through because then the county is subject to liability, so I hope she never took her kids to any public playgrounds that were funded by the county. God forbid they get hurt and then the county is on the hook!
I waste too much time checking profiles on Facebook of every speaking out against the potential track, but they all moved from somewhere else and seem to forget Volusia County is the motorsports capital of Florida.
At one time it was one of the best tracks in Florida, how is it now?
It’s closed now and for sale last I saw but it wasn’t half of what it used to be the last ten years of it operating.
Ive heard its been downhill for awhile. I spent quite a few Januarys there in the motorhome when i was 14-15. Would ride my ass off all week, then race winter ams. Spent most of my training time on the sand track but would go have fun on the big track because of the tunnel jump lol..
They sold the sand track property a few years ago to a trucking company or something.
