From Tyla "It's official, no mxon for me or team south Africa! No budget. So bad a pathetic"

http://twitter.com/tylarattray

Will there be anyone left on the gate to race?

With Rattray and Langston already in the US and Swanpoel here for the last 3 nationals it seems odd that they can not put a team together.

Maybe some teams that do not normally make it to the A final will have a chance. Smile

Anyone know if the Mongolians are coming?

...and what about Japan?

you can bet your sweet ass mongolia will be there.

Khaliunbold Erdenbeleg should be headlining the team and i think if they are smart, Temuujin Khadbaatar will be on the team as well.

but who is the 3rd rider?

and who keeps knocking down my scheety warr?

this shows who is the real villian at the des nations,

why does Youthstream take so much money out of this event, and provide no money for the teams to race it, or no prizemoney for the teams that win it,

it is bullshit,

My trip to Colorado is becoming less about the MXoN, and more about BBQ's and chillin' with some old friends....daily!! For the last several years we've been told how "Team USA STILL MATTERS"....apparently the MXoN...not so much!?!?

If all the riders are based in the US and on US teams, how much could it possibly cost for South Africa to field a team?

Its costs a lot for over 20 small countries to go to the US... some aren't going to make it.

I think Albertyn paid for Team SA in 2007.. it has always been an issue with them.

Thats right. Once again that new rule is incredibly stupid. It is ridiculous that Rattray can race a 250f in the US but is not allowed to ride one for his country at the MXDN.

Forgot about the over 23 rule. I can see how sending a rider, his equipment, a team manager and some support staff would add up.

Langston still needs to be healthy. He's still trying to come back from the injuries he suffered in the crash at Red Bud.

Can't he ride MX 3 on his 250f? Is'nt it a open class?

I think the problem would be Money with the MXA in SA but to be honest.....

There is no money problem in South Africa.... People there are either Rich or Poor....

MX in SA is not a poor mans sport.... Most of the amateur teams there are not sponsored... I rekon they could get the cash if they needed to....

To be honest. all they need to do is get Kerim over... The other 2 team members will be there.

The South African federation is the problem. Tyla has always paid his own way for the MXON with no help from their federation, they don't even get pit shirts. Even last year Tyla paid for his bikes to be shipped to Italy plus air tickets, hotels, car hire etc. I heard for this year Tyla arranged a personal sponsor to cover the costs of Swanepoel and half his own costs, he asked the federation to cover the other half and they still said no, so they just pulled out. Sucks, was looking forward to seeing the Rat on a 450.

The race is in the States..... how hard can it be.

Why doesn't Monster or Red Bull step up and help these guys out...

South Africa is a f**k up... They were willing to pay for JS to come out to South Afica to Race for Mandela but when they need to sponsor there own riders to go to Des Nations its to difficult.

Its a shame not being able to watch our Boet's on the track........

Guess we get to watch Swannie and Styla at the last 3 rounds.

I am sure there is more to it than just the South African federation.
